Personal Narrative: Mr. Peacock

Improved Essays
When I first arrived at the scene I noticed that the gun was in Mr. Peacock’s hand, and a gun was missing from the wall. I also noticed the carpet that was rolled up nicely. He was lying next to the carpet, wearing an apron, with blood pooling from his head, and his glasses were sitting there unbroken. The door was only able to be locked from the inside, and the house wasn’t vandalized at all.

As I look up at the sky, which is blood red like the sun stabbed it so it could get away from its eternal partner,I begin to hear the horrible noises of these sky creatures. Their horrible squealing draws everything's attention because it sounds the an incantation to summon the devil from the pits of the underworld. The howling wind joins in trying to make the summoning happening quicker but instead it makes me feel like my ears are going to bleed and starts to cast a sleeping spell on anyone caught in this siren song. The trees become alive to this bewitching tunes as their rodent inhabitants begin to run around trying to attack one another like wolves attacking a deer. Next door the neighbor’s rowdy brats come outside, probably because this is their favorite tune, with their wild and atrocious dog to play game of run around and destroy the yard or as most call it fetch.…

I believe that the motto “Once a Falcon, Always a Falcon,” is a perfect motto to describe myself as both a person and student. Growing up, I always took pride of my hometown (Vermilion, Ohio). My hometown, paired with the rollercoaster of experiences I endured throughout middle school and high school, made me who I am today. Granted, there were hard times and struggles, but I would not be where I am today had I not grown from those experiences. As I stated in my application, I represented my school and hometown at the 2013 Buckeye Boys Convention.…

Though the room erupts in applause and cheers the moment I finish, I feel I scammed the patrons with my substandard performance. The sorrow I incarcerated behind my mask, began to leak as I observed the inhibitions of Alice melting away with every guzzle of her drink. The amorous gazes she shared with Angelo caused the heavy stone to expand, along with the tear in my chest to rip further, inviting the agonising pain to intensify. I focused my stare ahead of me, into the abyss, but it was too late, the image had imprinted in my mind, forever tarnishing all memories of Angelo.…

There are a couple of obstacles that have played a major role in me becoming who I am today. I've had naysayers trying to negatively influence my thoughts, and crush my dreams by saying that said I will never amount to anything, or that I should give up on my dreams and get realistic with my goals. A couple years ago I was a completely different person. I was out of shape physically, my academic performance was very poor, and I had a terrible attitude. I improved greatly in athletics and my academic career.…
