Personal Narrative: Mr. Frank

The Holocaust was a very appalling time period. Sadly 6 million Jewish people died for no clear reason. In scene 1, sorrow has filled Mr. Frank after his daughters, and wife didn’t survive in the concentration camp. This made me understand his emotions, and the thought of losing my family, would slowly but surely shatter my heart. I wonder if Mr. Frank thought, why should I be here? All of my loved ones are gone, they were all I had and now I have nothing.

I later observed how loving and reassuring, he was to everybody. For example, in scene 2 Mr. Frank comforted his wife when she doubted that this all would be ok, and over soon. “Mrs. Frank. until it is over…Mr. Frank. (reassuringly). After six we can move about . . . we can talk and
