Improved Essays
Anyone can go to seventh grade but, first you must finish sixth grade. I think that I should be able to move up to seventh grade since I have gotten amazing grade through out this whole school year. In social studies, E.L.A, and, math I have learned many new things. Some of the new things that I have learned are algebra, perfect paragraph form, and about the economy. I think that I am eligible to go to seventh grade. I think that in Social Studies I have excelled greatly since the first marking period until now. In the first marking period I had a B. But, for the past two marking periods I have had a A. And on one of my most recent projects called the Disney project me and my group scored a ninety percent. And on my most recent test I scored a one hundred percent. Also I was the only one in my class to get a hundred. On my Review of Section One Material quiz I only got one questions wrong making me get a ninety-five percent. In the third marking period I got a ninety-six percent. On my Government Independent Unit Test, I got a one hundred percent! That test was out of forty points. I think that in E.L.A my writing skills have gotten a lot better. On my October vocabulary and …show more content…
In Math I have gotten a lot better since last year in fifth grade. I remember last year I got a D in Math but, I have gotten much better grade than that in sixth grade. I the first marking period I got a A in the class. But, for the next two marking periods I have gotten two B's for the past marking periods. I'm hoping for this marking period I will get my grade up to a A once again. This year in Math i have gotten better at algebraic expressions. I remember last year when taking the timed test for Math I hardly understood a thing. But, this year I think if I would take the same test again I would get almost all the questions correct. This is why Math is a reason I should move up to sixth

From my personal experience, when I was in elementary school I remember my teacher would let us sit on yoga ball it always helped me concentrate and it helped me when I was really active because I could not move around, it will make me fall if I move around. I like the idea of standing desks because I prefer standing a lot but when I need to I could sit down on the tool, but I could still move my legs around and be somewhat active. So if one day you're feeling antsy you can just stand. Also I think if your tired it could help you stay awake. Mark Benden also states that sitting desk can cause kids to be obese, he also says that too much sitting is bad for your health.…

My expectations in the past for math class, was for me to do my absolute best that I can. In 5th grade, I was really good at math and I didn’t take the consideration of preparing for 6th grade at Scott M. Brame Middle School. When middle school had started, I expected for myself to do great because I believed I would. Though, there were times that I did struggle due to myself expecting for it to be easy.…

Angelika Ibus, Personal Statement I was seven years old when my family and I moved to Hawaii from the Philippines. My parents hoped for a better life and a better education for my brothers and I. When I came to Hawaii I had already completed first grade in the Philippines. Even though I completed the first grade I was still required to retake first grade. Other students thought I was incapable of learning due to the fact, I was a year older than everyone in my class. To this day the reason I had to repeat first grade remains a mystery.…

In the seventh grade, I faced a large transition in life. The previous year I had experienced middle school for the first time, but I would make that entrance again. I moved from Texas to North Dakota, where seventh grade was the first year of middle school. I took on those same fears and hopes that I had faced before, but in an unfamiliar place where I had no one except for family to give me support. I tried a lot of new things that year, mainly wrestling.…

If I am able to get into middle school, but looking at my grades, there is a VERY slim chance I will succeed and get there. But, if there is a miracle, these are the things I will change about myself in class. I will try to get my work done because I have many missing assignments at my elementary school, which is causing my horrible grades. I will try to listen more in class because sometimes I do not understand or I just don’t listen to the teachers when they are doing a lesson, and I want to be more interested in classwork and instructions that the teachers put for us when we do something we haven’t really done. Another thing I’d like to improve in at my school before I go over to the 7th grade is to get better at everything we do…
