My first time riding a big American yellow bus! I had not even paid attention to the fact that I needed English to communicate, what brand my clothes were, or where I purchased my princess back pack from. It was all going too well. I had finally arrived to school. Walking down the halls of North Trail Elementary School watching how excited all the students were for the first day of class. As I was walking into my class I noticed everyone was looking right at me, but of course I was introduced as the “new girl” by my lovely teacher. As the day went by no kid would talk to me many thought I was different, not one single person wanted to be my friend, but why? I simply did not know English and to them it was alien.
