Personal Narrative-Moving To Steamboat

Moving to Steamboat was definitely the right choice. While I do miss my old school, here I seem to be fitting in well. In late August, I joined the mountain biking team. By doing this, I have lost lots of weight. My parents are complaining that I’m not eating enough. That’s not the point. By joining the team, I have made lots of friends with similar interests to mine. I know you believed we shouldn’t have left Denver because of the excellent school I was attending. I’m getting a great education here, however, I recently realized that I’m missing something. Here, there is no BEST robotics program. As you know, BEST robotics meant a lot to me. We did excellent at states. We won first place and qualified to go to Arkansas for regionals. After I told you both about this, you booked flights and a hotel to watch the competition. I took the bus with the team to Arkansas, meeting you there at the hotel. I was delighted that you came to see the competition. I was proud of what we had created. I had accomplished so much through this team. We had created a great robot, I made tons of friends, and we made it to nationals. I couldn’t thank you enough for supporting me that far away from home. It was your support that got me into robotics. I can’t thank you enough for all that you have done for me and my robotics. I still find it hard to believe that my passion for robots started in an elementary robotics course. My passion for robots started because of you. This continued through middle school and placed me on a great team. I can’t thank you enough for everything that you do for me. Whether it’s supporting my sports, my robotics, or visiting me whenever you can. I hope to be as smart and successful as you are. I love you both very much. I can’t wait to see you
