Personal Narrative: Moving To Oklahoma

Overcoming change can be hard. I moved from Texas to Oklahoma so I can relate to this massive change. I said goodbye, I moved, and I sought new opportunities. I hate change, but people can overcome anything. I said a little goodbye. At twenty seventeen I moved to Oklahoma from Texas. Moving is hard, and change can be daunting. I had to say goodbye to my friends. Part of why I didn’t want to move was because I didn’t know when I would see my friends again. I was only eleven and had never been anywhere else! I lived in a small town that was next to nothing. I hate change and moving was a big change happening in my life. It wasn’t just moving from one city to another; it was moving to a whole other state! We had to stay with friends in Texas until we drove to our new house in Oklahoma! My dad was already at our new house to set up our belongings. When we got to our new house, we had a lot of work to do to make our house a home! I was really missing all my friends, but I had to make new ones. My first year at Glenpool was in twenty eighteen and my first year was very hard. My first year was challenging because I came from a poor town and didn’t use any electronics. In my first year, my teacher asked me to write an essay on the computer and I didn’t know how to! I barely used a computer to play games, and that was it. I was not as good as the other kids because I had never used Google documents! I didn't know how to highlight, change the settings of the text, and I could barely type. I felt like a loser. At lunch, nobody wanted to sit with me or talk to me, so I sat alone. I sat in the same spot at lunch with nobody but myself the entire year! Other kids also started to bully me for reasons unknown to me. My first year of school was devastating to my courage, and I had given up on making friends. Finally, I sought new opportunities. My second year at Glenpool is starting to look
