As I look up at the sky, which is blood red like the sun stabbed it so it could get away from its eternal partner,I begin to hear the horrible noises of these sky creatures. Their horrible squealing draws everything's attention because it sounds the an incantation to summon the devil from the pits of the underworld. The howling wind joins in trying to make the summoning happening quicker but instead it makes me feel like my ears are going to bleed and starts to cast a sleeping spell on anyone caught in this siren song. The trees become alive to this bewitching tunes as their rodent inhabitants begin to run around trying to attack one another like wolves attacking a deer. Next door the neighbor’s rowdy brats come outside, probably because this is their favorite tune, with their wild and atrocious dog to play game of run around and destroy the yard or as most call it fetch.…

The monkey paws is a story about A few guys going through many different things in same part of life. These people are Mr. White and his son and other people doing certain things on a cold wet night. This was in a forest a long time ago those certain things started to happen when they both were in the forest would have to be the people that they had to deal with people really were not the same as right now as…

There are similarities and differences in books and shows they are never the same. I am going to compare and contrast five short stories to their plays. There are differences in the setting like it is limited in propes and space and the time period. One of the setting differences is that in the monkey's paw there was no chess game in the play but is was in the story and they had to fill the hole with talking. There was also a lack of stairs in The Monkey's Paw and in the Tell-Tail Heart.…

A person’s fate is already decided before he was born, it’s just following what will happen in a person’s life, Seneca the younger said that before: “Fate leads the willing and drags along the reluctant.” The women got dragged by fate--Ms.Eloise, her action like to yell husband, leaved the room hastily made her being arrested, she didn’t means to do it, but this is the irony of fate. What if a person tried to violate the fate? The ending should be miserable to him, it’s definitely more sad than the person dragged by fate. The men-- Mr. White tried to use monkey’s paw to change his fate, but the ending could image, he lost his kid.…

The bed creaked as I shifted from my restless slumber. I sit up and take the sweat covered sheets off my legs. I flick on the lamp and stumble into the bathroom. I turn on the sink and splash my face with the ice cold water, turning off the sink I look into the mirror, and grimace. My hair is matted to my head, my eyes bloodshot from crying, my clothes clinging to my sweaty body.…

Looking into a mirror, I don’t seem normal. My features come off as odd and stand out to me: like my lightly colored skin, high cheekbones, slight pixie nose, small lips, slightly crooked teeth, small eyes, brown hair, and brown eyes. All of these features are perceived to me as puzzle pieces that someone will eventually put together to form a masterpiece. While standing in my small, lilac colored bedroom, I glanced to the left towards my closet as I remembered my mother’s upcoming birthday, and I needed to complete her gift. I began looking through printed photos to find one that would fit perfectly in a frame saying "happiness".…

When I was a small child, around year 1, I always tried to climb the monkey bars. When I was that age I was too small to jump up to the bars, I could always hear people screaming and yelling in laughter when I finally reach the towering bars I swung and swung until I got burning blisters on my hands but it didn't stop me from getting more. And after a while, those painful blisters turned to rock hard callus. My friends and I would play tag or cheat in the rays of the sun beaming down on us while we dive to get each other. I also remember all the building and classroom were nice and newish with clean bricks and shiny windows in the classrooms the desk were huge and the pencils barely fit in my hand.…
