G.I Jane, made me feel like an American after all she had done to win John James and her teams respect. She had fought for month just to prove not only to them but to America that women are just as capable doing what a man does. I admire her strength and her dedication on what she believes in despite of what the world thought she complete what no other woman would have done. Not only did she go to the army she finished boot camp, and survived something that some of the other men couldn’t. Jane made history, she gave me an open mind set. They did have trouble from time to time but like any strong couple they fought through it. Many changes occurred and during her journey, she even shaved her had to fit in with the rest of the men. Jane spent weeks building up her strength not only physically but emotionally and mentally as well. There is a quote that she has said that has stayed with me even since I saw the movie. “Pain is temporary but quitting lasts forever” meaning that going towards my goal will put scars and bruises and it will be painful along the way but it’s going to be worth it in the long run.
