Max’s Death
It was in the middle of the day some clouds but you could still see through them. The sun was bright and shiney but under the trees it was dark and abandoned. This area was my sanctuary it was far away from everyone and everything. My sanctuary always kept my mind clear from what happened the day before; It was horrifying but he said it had to be done. Today was the day I watched my best friend Max die.
Today was like any other day of winter because it was snowing. The snow was the best part of Cole Camp we would always get about seven to twelve inches of snow. It was around noon when my brothers and I went outside to see that the snow this winter was tall. We went outside and started to play in the snow and Max join us. Max loved the snow so whenever we went outside he went outside.
Max was a very protective dog so he would go after anything that he thought would hurt us. He starting running with us when we went sledding around two o’clock to make sure we would be safe. The main reason why he was so protective was because he was a siberian husky. Siberian huskies are the closest things to wolves and not only that they are really protective. But in the book, it said he died only one eye open, in Liesel's arms. I think it was showing the fact that it wasn't exactly a natural way of dying, which relates to when death was explaining itself and how he had an eye on Liesel. Next about the changes that were about Max. In the movie, while everyone was hiding in the air raid shelter during the bombing in town, Max actually came out of the basement and came outside.…

Max was affected by Freak’s death in many ways. He became depressed because he lost the person who was always there for him. They went on many adventures together, and conquered the world together. When Freak died, Max was so depressed he couldn’t deal with it because Freak was a big part in his life. A piece of evidence to support this is, as the text states, “I hid in the down under for days and days and kept the door closed, which is why I missed the funeral and Fair Gwen going away” (Philbrick 158).…

I was over ecstatic when Fernando, (also known as Fernie) my best guy friend asked me to go on a walking adventure with him in our hometown of Kelseyville, California. We started off the day by walking in the forest alongside of Kelsey Creek. This forest has a really big meaning to Fernie and I, because we both love nature in every aspect and these walking adventures are not uncommon to us. Starting on the path we both got lost in our own thoughts, I got distracted by looking above me at the the canopy the tree branches created. My eyes followed the patterns the sunlight was creating as it broke through the leaves and cascaded onto the uneven forest floor.…
