He was aware that he got kicked out of the military, known for abuse and was on bad terms with his family because of his uncontrolled violent outbursts. With that information, he proceeded to go against the rules made for this interview, which included keeping the location, time and date of the account secluded. Aside from actually committing the act, Mason also fails to provide sufficient security, and for such a high profile case, one would reasonably want to take more safety precautions. In addition, Mason claimed that he thought the most that would occur would be a fist fight between the father and the molester, however with the knowledge he has and little actions he took, he was reckless to the thought that something more severe…

Many aspects of the storytelling in The Crucible make little sense from a logical perspective. That characters, with few exceptions, do not act logically or rationally. And while one may view the actions of the characters as barbaric and irrational, it must also be remembered that this is how humans actually acted at multiple points in history.…

On one hand, just as Hale mentioned that “Mister, I have myself examined Tituba, Sarah Good and numerous others that have confessed to dealing with the Devil. They have confessed it” (Miller, 68), being scared to death and harsh torture, most of them who were involved in the witchcraft events preferred to confess to dealing with the Devil rather than tell the truth. Compared with the majority of people’s ideas and opinions, Proctor’s words did not carry much weight “ I may wonder if my story will be credited in such a court” (Miller 69), though he once said “I--had not reckoned with goin’ into court. But if I must I will” (Miller 69). On the other hand, those evil people, like Cheever who stood for the authority of court, tried their best to…
