Personal Narrative: Mary Luka's University

Over the past three years, I have had the privilege of working with and getting to know one of the most positive, caring, and faithful people at Saint Mary’s College. This student, Mary Luka, is also a teacher candidate and one of my best friends. During my junior year of college, I hit a low point and she was one of the only people that could keep me focused on my goal and bettering myself. Her commitment to God, her family, her friends, and her students is not only unbreakable, it is inspiring. Mary’s humility and positive outlook on life is captivating, and something I strive to attain in my own life. With her help, I have been able to build an even stronger relationship with God.
