I love to go to the movies Cameron said but there is nothing good showing at all I know Marcie replied it is crazy how many crappy romantic comedies they churn out tell me about it Cameron exclaimed if I see one more stupid Kate Hudson/Matthew McConaughey puke-fest, I will personally poke my eye out with an ice-pick and perform a lobotomy I think that may be a little bit outrageous Marcie pointed out but I can get behind the sentiment my big problem, though, is the terrible horror movies lately what happened to scaring us rather than grossing us out would you rather go out to dinner tonight Cameron asked sounds like a plan to me Marcie agreed they left, walking arm in arm, to go to the corner deli.

We’ve just uncovered a new sarcophagus,” remarked Sarah as she passed by, carrying a large coffin.…

I do not if you remember me but I’m Stephanie Espinal. I went to your office before the exam number 3 and talked about how can I do better in the mini-exams. I do not want to say that I give up on doing well in the mini-exams, but not matter what I do I still get a bad grade. This frustrates me a lot. Before coming to UMass I did have problems taking exams but at least, I used to pass them.…

Rileigh Deitemeyer A phrase I have heard a lot over the years is, “You look just like your father”, and each time my father and I would exchange a glance that to us meant, “little do they know”. This is because if you were to look at me next to my parents, you would have no idea that I’m adopted. My birthmother was thirteen years-old when she gave birth to me and was taking care of all her younger siblings in a household with drug and alcohol usage. Not being able to care for me, she gave me up for adoption.…

Hello I’m Alyssa Bresson and when I first found out that I was going to be having my fifth sister I was so shocked and happy. I was watching Netflix with my older sister Taryn and our dad text and told us that he wants to talk to us when he gets home. Taryn and I was thinking all sorts of crazy things because when dad has text us that in the past it was because of the loss of my baby sister. But then we started thinking positive and kept saying that we won the lottery and we are going to get new rooms and cars and never going to have to work again. Then finally dad got home from work and we were all so excited in the living room waiting for him…

The next day was not a good one for Elaine, as soon as she woke up you could hear her gag and then run straight to the bathroom that connected our rooms to empty her stomach. I am glad I didn't drink last night or else I would also be in the bathroom and that would not be pretty, considering we only have one. I walk to the kitchen to make breakfast for the both of us, we had very little groceries stored in the cupboards so there weren't that many options. However, we did have bread, eggs and bacon, all you really needed for a hangover breakfast. I had just finished making french toast with bacon on the side as Elaine walked out of her room, she looked rough hopefully the breakfast was going to help her feel better.…

At a younger age, I would say I believed that I can only trust myself and my mother, this is because as a little kid my mom would always tell me that there are bad people in the world and that giving them any information about anything can be very harmful. But as I grew up and realized what was actually happening in my country I knew there were millions of others that were suffering against the “bad people” and we could only do something about it if the whole community came together to help. It was at that time when I was about 25, when I started to put some effort into trying to establish more just conditions within my country especially after the implication of extremely high food prices. This is when I started my first strike involving my…
