Personal Narrative: Making A Mousetrap Car

Improved Essays
It was an interesting week to say the least, it was definitely a very slow paced week but it did not feel like it took to long to be over. Which is a good thing. For the whole week we had 2 main projects we worked on. The first one throughout the morning and then the second one during the afternoon. So everyday this week was the exact same but I liked it.

For the first two periods everyday we worked on a physics project, which was making a mouse trap into a race car. It was interesting, on Monday morning no one had any idea of what we would be doing but Mr. Seland went around and out a mouse trap on everyones desk. From that we watched videos on what a mousetrap car was and how to build them, then the rest was up to us. Everyone had to make their own car and though we were allowed to talk with other people we had to make sure we made it ourself. We were also allowed to use the internet which helped me out. I did struggle with this project, I am not usually one that really builds and plays around with things to make cool things. The first car I made I tried something that I seen was completely different from everyone else's but it failed miserably. So on the last two days I looked back online and my car ended up following the guidelines that everyone else did. There are defiantly flaws to it but I am just happy that I got the car to work, for a little bit there I did not think I was going to be able to even build one. If

I enjoyed the challenge with the mousetrap car. I am also so exited to see how my movie trailer turns out. Next week is exam break so there is not actual class, then the following week it is exams but again we don't have any exams so there is no class for us. So I will just be working on some things I have to finish and hand in. When classes start again I do feel like it is going to be super busy again but well have to just see how it

This week was the best week I had all semester. It was a glorious week for me, to say the least. I was able to finish the written assignment, study hard for my quiz, and also be able to get an awesome grade for my quiz. I thoroughly enjoyed this week. First of all, for the reading assignment, I had to read section 8.1 called, "System of Linear Equations: Gausssian Elimination".…

This week was fun for me because I made the soccer team and we had a fun week of practices. We had much less homework this week than the previous week which was very fortunate because my brother and I had their grade’s curriculum nights so I was not getting home until eight thirty. There were three quizzes/tests this week which was a little rough but I think I got through them well. I thought that the Socratic seminar in LA was a little bit of a dud because…

On a beautiful clear morning of February the 19th, my mom picked me up from my class at the University of West Georgia, then we went to Waffle House to have a nice breakfast. We left from Waffle House, proceeding down Maple Street, and turned onto South Street and immediately onto Kenner Street. We then turned onto on the merging lane on South Park Street (US Hwy 27) heading south, we immediately halted to a full stop as vehicles moved from the middle lane into the merging lane in front of us, but at that time there were no vehicles behind us. As we waited to enter traffic, a car suddenly struck us from behind which caused the car to jerk violently forward, causing my mother’s chest to hit the steering wheel, and our heads and bodies to whip forward and then back.…

Write of what parts of the text were the most difficult to read, and to identify how many times a passage was read before some understanding was achieved. This has been actually one of my best weeks so far, week 6. The topics were linear equations and non linear equations and I was able to remember about them so this time my brain was not that disconnected as normally is with algebra which made me happy. Do not get me wrong, I still had to read multiple times some sections that caused a little confusion, but again it was not that bad and at the end everything came back to me, this time it was a lot easy for me to figure out some of the book samples, except of course the ones that had multiple fractions I am still under pressure with those.…

Hello, This week has sucked. I broke down crying at work last night because I can not keep taking time off or else they will fire me. I continuously take Saturday nights off because my boyfriend lives three hours away and I want to visit him and he does not want to sit in my dorm room for 8 hours while I work. Finally I called him and told him he was just going to have to deal with it or meet up with some friends that he has in Queens. That was clearly the hardest part of my week.…

When constructing the car, the goal was to make the car as sturdy as possible in order for the car to travel a great distance in a short amount of time. To do this, we researched various ways to create a mousetrap car. Additionally, we incorporated our own ideas to enhance the construction after trial and error. First, our team gathered all of the necessary materials that we would need to construct the car. These materials included one mousetrap, cardboard pieces, six balloons, four eye hooks, 2 smooth pens, string, and four small records.…

This year has been a crazy one. I came from a public school, not knowing anyone, so I terrified and didn't know what to expect. I struggled with trusting others, time management and battling multiple tasks at once. Luckily, I had a lot of practice throughout the year. For instance when we had to record a News Show for Mr.Mora's class, I was faced with all of these problems.…

This week my push category goal was to meet new people and to explore the Full sail campus. I would say that meeting my goal of meeting new people has been gone really well, the people are really nice and are open to meeting new people it is great. And exploring the campus has been fun weather it is just walking around with friends or on a tour. The biggest challenge this week would have to be trying to find time for this online work and orientation at the same time. But the reason I that I think it was so hard was because I didn’t have the wifi for the campus for like 3 days of this week…

Think back to when you were a child. Some children dream about being a superhero or a fire fighter. I may have said that, but; more often than not said “When I grow up I wanna be a teacher!” If you have known me for any length of time, chances are you 've heard me say this! Many, like Aunt Sandy, have told me that 's what I was born to do!…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…

The car had just received a brand new pearlescent black protective coating paint, on either side of the car I could not find an imperfection. As I walked round the car I noticed that all four 19-inch wheels had been polished to perfection, I opened the driver’s door and to my surprise the interior was almost perfectly polished. I started the car and opened the hood to check the engine, the rumbles and sounds of v-6 supercharged 3.5-liter engine with 350 horsepower made me felt that it is the one. I was stunned and could not even bargain to bring the price down, so do all my friends. I paid him, got all the necessary document and we drove back to my…
