Personal Narrative: Macbeth By William Shakespeare

Various actions I performed throughout my life were for the sole purpose of receiving what I want without outwardly asking for it. For the past few years, around the same time of the year, for example, I behave exceptionally well. Specifically around the holidays, when there is something that I really want my parents to get me, a series of events always transpire. First, I begin to do my chores when I am told, following with doing even more chores, ultimately to impress my parents. Then, whenever my parents are around I act “nicer” with my siblings, to show that I am a mature adolescent. The last step is called the implantation stage, which is when I begin to leave images or notes of the items that I want scattered throughout my room or left …show more content…
In Macbeth it states, “I am settled and bend up/each corporal agent to this terrible feat/away, and mock the time with fairest show./False face must hide what the false heart doth know” (1.7.92-96). In this quote Macbeth decides that both he and his wife will kill Duncan. Lady Macbeth, Macbeth’s wife, disguises herself a polite woman, although in actuality, she is a conniving, evil woman that only has her own intentions in mind. This is similar to play Julius Caesar, because Cassius, the ringleader of the conspirators, is able to convince Brutus, Caesar’s best friend, to turn against Caesar and murder him. Cassius persuades Brutus into thinking that if he aids in the killing of Caesar then he will be doing what is best for the people of Rome. Additionally, besides Brutus, Cassius persuades other conspirators to join him in the murder of Julius Caesar. However, by the conspirators killing Caesar, he will be doing what is best for Cassius. Both plays are similar in the sense that one individual persuades another in doing something that is more beneficial for themselves.
