I was in no pressure and thought it would not take long to study, since I only needed to work on the study guide that my professor created for us and assumed it would be like the final. I began to work on the study guide at 8PM, but 8PM turned into 9PM, then 9PM turned into 10PM. It was now 11PM and I still have not worked on the study guide because I was stuck on one problem, logarithms; plus, I was distracted by the variety of dog pictures and YouTube videos …show more content…

I opened the door. “Hey, what are you doing here?”
He casually spoke, “I’m here to drop this smoothie off for Veronica.” as he strolled into the

Once Veronica saw the trash can, she grabbed it and vomited the alcohol out of her system. In 20 minutes, the apartment reeked of stomach acid infused with alcohol. Calvin called it a night and drove back home. Madeline and I stayed by Veronica’s side for a few hours. During those few hours, we listened to Veronica’s knock knock jokes about pineapples and her rant about her low alcohol tolerance. Finally, she fell asleep. While she was sleeping, Madeline and I tried to work on the study guide, but both of us could not focus because we were worried about our friend’s

The weekend meant that cops officially had their hands full, and even if downtown GCPD was obscure and unknown, the swell of low end criminals brought to GCPD was enough to keep it running. The cells were small and old, and other than a decent view of the water, that was pretty much all it had going for it. The downtown GCPD was always dealing with something from the petty drunks to the common thieves.…
