Personal Narrative: Lock Me Up In A Mental Asylum

Decent Essays
That is it! Lock me up in a mental asylum, I am officially crazy. I have completely and utterly - lost my marbles, but then again it is right there in front of me. What am I supposed to do? We just moved to this house two days ago, and my parents and brother left for my grandmothers; they will not be back until Monday night. All I was doing was making a Nutella banana sandwich and I hear wind slowly blowing threw the kitchen. I knew the widows were all closed, I doubled checked before I decided to make my sandwich! I looked over and that is when saw the indentation in the wall. I will not lie the curiosity got the best of me, but anyways as I peeled the wallpaper back - I saw it.

There was a a huge wrought iron door with a breeze blowing through

As a criminal justice major, I found this chapter particularly interesting. I tend to wrestle with the insanity plea. I realize that there are some cases where it is beyond evident that the person was criminally insane. However, for the most part I tend to see it as a cop out. I see it as a way for the defense to get their client freed from responsibility.…

These different cages can really have an impact on someone's life because they could be holding them back from what the want to do or accomplish. In my life I realized that I'm in a cage as well as a lot of people may be in. One cage that I think I'm stuck in is society setting a lot of different standards and expectations that people think that you have follow and abide by and if they don't their considered doing the wrong thing in life. I think that I find myself in this cage because all of the standards that society sets makes it hard to live and chase your own dreams that you want to do but you can't pursue them because you won't be following the way everyone else is expecting you to live your life.…
