As I sit here and reminisce about my journey through Grandville Public Schools, I often think back to my elementary school days at CPLC. I miss the carefree days, when my biggest decision to make each day was what I was going to eat for lunch or who I was going to play with on the playground. I will always cherish all of the memories and experiences, such as field trips, and 5th grade camp. Although I was very young, I still remember the life lessons I learned at Century Park that I will use for my whole life. Elementary school was a different experience for everyone. I learned that every action has a consequence. Any person that went through elementary school learned this, but everyone had to unfortunately learn this through their own experiences. Once you do something bad or make a poor decision, and you are unhappy with the consequence, most likely, you won’t do it again. Doing whatever you wanted was always cool, but some of my peers learned that the hard way and got into trouble. Your actions might’ve resulted in punishments such as sitting in at recess time, or doing extra jobs around the classroom. And no one wanted to be “that kid”.
Another couple important life lessons I learned was to follow directions and stay organized. All through elementary school, we had daily schedules to follow and once we got into 4th grade, we were required to use planners to learn organization skills along with
