m a Christmas tree, Like all Christmas trees, I was chopped down in the forest. Now I serve as the official White House Christmas tree inside the blue room. What an exciting job I have! I’m not sure how I got here. I don't remember anything about being a sapling or growing up, all I remember is being shipped to the White House, being put up and being decorated. Life at the White House is amazing, I’m surrounded by a bunch of trees, 53 to be exact, who i'm friends with. Well, I’m friends with most of them.
When I got moved in, I was put together piece by piece, limb by limb, while all the other tree’s got moved in all in one piece. Somehow they were all together. I started to wonder whether I'm a real tree or not because I got put together and the two trees make fun of me a lot.

Hence, the government opened up large areas of federal domain, including offshore oil fields to private development.…

Who we truly are and who we are conditioned to be, despite being for the most part intertwined, tend to be incredibly different things. In the short story “The Half Husky”, written by Margaret Laurence, this topic, the topic of one’s true nature vs the nurture they receive, is thoroughly explored. Laurence suggests that despite the personality someone is born with, how they are raised and any significant early life trauma endured can later result in misplaced anger, devious behaviours, and a continuation in the cycle of abuse. Initially, the main character, fifteen year old Vanessa, was quite sheltered and naive.…
