The year is 1774 and I have decided to join the colonial army in hopes of helping with the freeing of the colonies. I currently live just south of charlotte South Carolina, but soon I leave to join the colonials in their fight against oppression. My father is worried that soon this fight may become a full out war with England, along with the rest of my family. My wife and daughter fear that I act to hastily in joining too soon, they fear that war is coming and ill will be drawn into the fight. Though I will miss them greatly they will be leaving with the rest of the family to find a safe pass to pass these dark times. The camp life is no life for my wife and daughter and I will not have them following the camp thru lord knows what hardships.
