Lie Down With Dogs, Get Up With Fleas Lie down with dogs, get up with fleas. It means when hanging out with the wrong people or the wrong crowd, a person could get in trouble or get a bad reputation. A good example of this is when my best friend *Jim and I went to Garden City to a church event.
About two years ago my best friend Jim and I were on our way to Garden to the church event. Jim was a somewhat of a bad person Jim has gotten in more trouble than I have. He has gotten in trouble with the cops. Jim and I were sixteen years old at the time. The church event was an overnight event and the guys stayed at the church. Then he told me of an idea that we should mess with people at night. I said, “We shouldn’t do it because people get mad and get upset that they were mess with.” He ignored what I said and said that he was going to do it no matter what I said. One of the guys got me mad and decided to play a joke on me and I didn’t think it was funny so I got mad, told him to watch out that night because I would do something and he would regret messing with me. Jim had gather three of my friends Jorge, Tyler, and Jacob into his plan .We helped Jim plan more ideas. The night came and they all came up to me and ask me what the plan was. Even though I knew it was a bad idea, I still did it anyways. What I did was to go get toilet paper, get it wet and give it to Tyler and he would throw it, and it would hit people either on the head or the leg. When he throw it, it hit a person in the head and they yelled who throw it and Tyler ran to go hide. We also had a pillow and a flashlight and we would flash it at a person and when they got up we would hit them with the pillow in the face and run like there is no tomorrow.
