What I believe to be the best approach to spending global health funding is for each country to have the most advanced equipment in at least one location. This will provide each country with the same technological advances as everyone else which will provide equal care throughout the world. I would also provide every country with antibiotics to eliminate non-communicable diseases that kill millions every year around the world. I will do this by sending teams of physicians…

Create Change Esther Dyson once said, “Change Means That What Was Before Wasn’t Perfect People Want Things To Be Better”. Even if one person creates changes in his or her society at a global, national, or community level in a positive way, will make this world a better place. Each individual can create changes in his or her society, unless he/she feels that it is important to society, that an action must be needed and the action that they going to propose in order for changes to happen. The changes that I want it to happen are; to have free schooling for students from kindergarten to twelve grade all over the world, along with women’s right to an education, offer free health care and helping homeless…

The first thing we did at Feed my Starving Children was to watch a video about all of the starving children in the locations that we would be helping. I think that seeing them and seeing how bad and famined they looked really showed us the truth. We often only think about the people in our own country or the people that we see every day. When we are eating lunch or going out to dinner we do not think about the hungry people in other countries. After that we split up into groups that represented different countries that we would be feeding.…

The Homeless: A Vulnerable Population In 2014, the Institute Review Board at Thomas Jefferson University approved a study to analyze the highest concern of frequent emergency department costs for policy makers. The study takes place at an urban academic medical center (location not revealed) for the entire year of 2006, at a medical trauma 1 center and has an annual census of 60,000 plus for ED visits a year (Ku 2014). “The Urban Homeless: Super-Users of the Emergency Department” study addresses the concerns of these policy makers by analyzing the highest cost of the emergency department (ED). Costly ED visits largely contribute to the rising health care expenses.…

What do we still need to know about your vulnerable population and what programs address their needs? What programs and policies are needed? Social and demographic trends are making information and assistance services increasingly important to the average American family. Weath brings out the good of people. First I think it's good because people get lots of money because they have so much money and they donate or give to charities or people. Jr smith is a basketball player he donated 30,000 dollars to a charity. Some people just help and just where the color of the charity or some times run marathons to donate. This summer I was very fortunate to go to Dominican Republic. Before this trip I haven’t visited Dominican Republic in over five years, so I was pretty eager to visit. When I first stepped out of the plane, I took in a breath. I feel that the air over there smells so different since many people over there burn their garbage, I actually like that smell. The streets in Dominican Republic are very bumpy and have a lot of motorists, so during my visit I did not hesitate to drive.…

I would spend my one million dollars in three very distinct and controversial ways. I would portion the money out to be donated to three different causes. My number one cause is factory jobs going to other countries, which is going to receive six hundred thousand. Second, homelessness would be nonexistent due to people having more jobs and my donation of three hundred thousand. Lastly, the income gap between the rich and poor would be substantially lower and the middle class population would increase dramatically due to more job opportunities in the United States of America and the final donation of my million dollars of one thousand dollars.…

So what can we, in the United States, do to help solve this problem? I think the first thing that comes to peoples mind is money. Feed my starving children produces all of their food with donations, which is awesome. However, volunteers are also needed to pack food in order for it to be distributed all over the world. While donating money is important donating time is also very valuable and necessary.…

Philadelphia is proud of the reputation of being “the city of brotherly love”, with the LOVE park and sign right in Center City. However, Philly has gained a reputation for something else in recent years that have brought this nickname into a question; this city has become an example of rising gun violence, with constant shootings and multiple deaths. Every day and night, people are shot and often even killed for various and sometimes mysterious reasons. The city of brotherly love is in desperate need of more control of armed weapons, because gun violence has led to an increase in violence and deaths, weapons are too easy to obtain, and the police are being rendered powerless to stop the rising shootings. Mayor Nutter of Philadelphia is…

When you see someone asking for food for their family or themselves, what do you do? Most people walk away, or ignore the situation. Others take the time to talk and give the hungry something to eat, so they don 't spend the day hungry. That is one less hungry person in the world. Thankfully, there are people who build food banks to feed the hungry families, and people.…

The topic that I have chosen to analyze is food insecurity within the United States. Having food security means that a person has both the economic and physical access to safe and nutritious food. Currently, there are about 49 million people in the United States who are considered to live in food insecure households. In those millions of people, about 47 million of them are on the US’s Food Stamps program, now called the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). Roughly 16 million of those considered to be food insecure are children.…
