Personal Narrative: Lala

What do you want to be when you grow up, Lala?" a question so frequently asked that I have now become numb to it. From the moment we come into being we are expected to know what college we are going to attend, what we are going to majoring in, and what job we will have once we get older. Coming from a father who migrated to the United States from Mexico when he was only sixteen, he has made sure that I am fully aware of how valuable my education is. He expects me to get a job that comes with many rewards and will be worth his money. Every time we go out to dinner, he asks me the same question, "what are you going to major in, Lala?". Of course, my dad expects me to major in law or business, definitely not physics. For me, physics feeds my curiosity-
