“Jeff Skiles,” the lady at the desk yelled.
I answered with a polite, “Hello.” She told me I was good to go in to see the doctor. I entered the doctor's office, but something quickly caught my eye. I saw the picture of a familiar flight, the picture made the color in my face drain and my entire body to completely turn stone cold.
The picture was of Sully, my good old Co worker on that fateful day of January 15th. He was standing there in the picture staring back almost as he was saying hello. All I could think about was that day, it made me tear up a bit. Then, the doctor told me to enter, but all I could see were pictures of our plane and my good friend Sully. My ears started to ring, and my mind traveled right back to that fateful January

I hoped in my car and started the 40 minute drive to Laguardia. I had no worries and no idea anything other than a normal flight would occur. I saw a flock of geese think then that it was cool they were so high, but not it feels like a mockery. I finally arrived to the airport, the jets roared over me. I drove to the budget car rental area and returned my Nissan car that I was renting. I felt good to fly to Charlotte. It was frigid, but all I wanted to do was get in the air. I got to the airport and went through the normal security for a pilot. But I was lucky to have extra time to get a bite to eat. Now I feel lucky to have eaten before the stressful afternoon. I walked, slowly, to the gate. I made it to the us airways gate, I Just wanted to get out of New York and go home. I thought to myself, what I thought made me smile, this was my last leg on my first assignment in the a320. Now approaching my gate, I thought about who I would be with today. I remembered I would be flying with chelsey “sully” sullenberger. He was a 57 year old pilot, he flew for the military retiring in 1980 becoming a us airways pilot. Now, I was ready to fly with him. I got to the gate and saw all of the passengers lines up boarding the US airways Airbus a320 jetliner. I got to the jet bridge and walked up, I was now ready to go to …show more content…
We were halfway down the runway and we hit V1. We then hit R1 and as i knew it I noticed that I started rotating. I laughed and said to sully “haha, its like my body just does it for me.” helped with me. We were off the runway but still over it, we now were over the water at one hundred feet. We were climbing fast and on our way up to 30 thousand feet, we were climbing over New York city. As of now it was just a normal cold day takeoff. The buildings were flying buy quick and I could see the hudson river in the distance. I thought how cold the water could be down in the river, little did I Know that I would be in that water. It was 3:26 we were climbing out of one thousand feet above the city. It was now 3:27:02, I saw geese I yelled geese to sully and the jet started to thump, this was the geese hitting the airbus a320-214. Engine two started to slow down and finally came to a full stop. I said “engine two is gone”
Sully answered with “no, no, no now engine two”
The engines went silent, It was like being in a glider but unlike a glider this will fall like a rock soon. We started to do the checklist while under huge pressure, we called in to the tower and said “we have lost

I knew something was horribly wrong when I woke up on a lemon shaped inner-tube in a sea of squishy macaroni and cheese. Ever since I was little, the smell, texture, and pretty much everything about macaroni and cheese disgusted me. Cheese was meant to be sprinkled on top of noodles, not engulf them. Looking around at the yellow encrusted rocks and the velveeta cheese waterfalls, I felt like I was living a real life nightmare. Just over the ledge I could see what appeared to be a giant drop off.…

Biomes Survival Story We were flying in the government's new 737 million dollar B-2 Spirit jet. My sergeant gave me and my co-pilot orders to go to the coordinates 6.1° S 106.9° E, which is Jakarta, Indonesia. Our orders were to observe the areas that have military-like forces in the tropical rainforest. As we were making our last pass for reconnaissance over the tropical rainforest, there was a huge thunderstorm. A few minutes after the storm started the B-2 jet was struck by lightning, which caused the engines to fail and descend into the vast tropical rainforest.…

To the Lady on the Plane To the loudmouth woman who sat on the small commuter plane from Salt Lake City, Utah to Medford, Oregon with me, I would like to thank you for being silent for the few minutes that you were staring at me while we were landing. Unfortunately, what followed the silence was disgusting. However, for most of the two hour flight you did not need to keep telling me about how afraid of planes you were. Frankly, I would have preferred you talked the entire time. On the other hand, you did give me a nauseating story to use for my first college essay.…

Skydiving is a group organized and professionally guided sporting activity that involves individuals jumping from an aircraft, at a high altitude with parachutes and performing several acrobatic maneuvers during free fall before safely landing on the ground with the help of the parachutes. The free fall flights, which give people rests and restores them from work as a kind of recreation, stimulate people’s passion of lives and become parts of their wonderful memories. Jumping out of the airplane is amusing. Hence, skydiving activity is not just a free fall process; it is actually flying— a free, imaginative and non-mechanical flight. Skydiving is not only considered as leisure and recreation but also involves a sense of people’s own sakes as…
