Personal Narrative: L Union Fait La Force

There is quote that my family say all the time "L'Union fait la force." We strongly believe in that statement,because we think that family is suppose to be there for each other, and make our bonds stronger everyday.About 5 years ago we left our homeland to begin a new life. We came to United States looking for something different something that we did not yet experienced.Since in Brazil we had reached all our goals, we thought that coming to U.S we could find something new; Although, we Knew that it would be only us, and nobody else. we knew that staying united we could gain strength, and be able to win our obstacle. we went through a lot since we came here, but none of those little obstacles made us smile less than any other day. We had that common immigrant problem, the language, We speak Brazilian Portuguese and not so many people around here does;however the closest language to our was Spanish. So we learned Spanish quite fast,in about 3 months, this was very necessary to all of us of learning a new language. Finally we could communicate.During …show more content…
That year I realized I need to study a lot like never before, and I need to stick to my family because I knew it was going to be hard. I need their support, I needed their strength because I almost lost faith . One day I came to a conclusion, that I need to study more,so I used to stay after school everyday that I could to get extra help, and when I got home I studied 6 more hours. All of this was thought, but I would not relinquish because I knew that God was going to give my recompensation. By 8th grade I Had learned English, and was going to the pathway of advanced courses only when I had moved school again. Yes, another hard transitions, and once again my family stayed united and we were able to overcome one more
