I didn't know if there was any way of checking the status of it. That's all I've been waiting on to pay this bill. Just as an FYI I believe the loan is through Sallie

I wrote a book. One, where if it were a movie I would not be old enough to watch it without an adult. No, you can not buy it at Barnes & Nobles or your local bookstore or anywhere books are sold. But I would gladly give you a printed 8 x 11, arial, black and white, 5 font size, unstapled copy in exchange for a Jackson. A little more if you want it signed.…

Part one From my mid-term evaluation by my supervisor (Wayne Harris) I have learned that I am doing a great job here at Elizabeth City Pasquotank County Economic Development Commission. My job here at the internship is to build an accurate database of residential home sales in Pasquotank County. I also have done street survey on downtown vacancies. Do you remember when you were a little kid and you had to climb on your counter-top to reach a cabinet? I remember it as if it was yesterday, maybe because it really was. All my life I have been dramatically smaller than all my peers. I have always been ostracized for the fact of my height which, in fact I have no jurisdiction over . I have always lived by the motto “Heart over height” in every aspect of life, and in every endeavor I encounter.…

I work for my dad on our family ranch in Jones Creek, Texas. The work is hard, backbreaking, and tiring. Everyday when I get home I eat the meal that my momma makes for us: there is no arguing whether or not that is what you are having for supper. Every night I get in bed completely wore out from a hard days work, then I wake up to do it all again in the morning. This job is not for everyone, however it is for me.…

Everyone has a haunting moment in their life, one that’s so traumatizing and horrible that it perpetually replays in their minds. For me, that moment occurred in the early days of summer 2015. I was stuck home babysitting my two little siblings for the day while the rest of my family was in Baton Rouge at some birthday party I didn't go to because I really didn’t like the entire parents hosting it. You know the type. The ones that don’t know what a blinker is.…

I became friends with two other girls and they were a lot different than my best friend. I never went to parties, never smoked or drank, but these girls did. I was hesitant about their lifestyle, but I soon adapted to it and I did all of the things that they did. I had my first alcoholic beverage, I got drunk for the first time and I smoked my first cigarette.…

The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze, I could hear the leaves rustling on the ground. It was the perfect day out today and anyone could tell. I close my eyes and just listen to the beautiful sounds of nature, wondering what all the birds were saying. Sometimes I think like that, just wondering the unknowable, I guess that’s something about me not many people know. I can hear soft footsteps but I don’t open my eyes, only shift my mouth into a small smirk.…

My friends were 1.3 meters tall, with dark-green skin color, and wore antiqued “watches”. They were called lockers; my best friends in middle school. I was once submissive. Feared, I would protect myself by speaking “Yes”, “No”, or “I don’t know” to camouflage from others. Every day I would sit in the Special Education hallway with my friends numbered “1023-1031”, plug in my headphones, and separate myself from the rest of the world.…

The school felt cold, disappointment filled the air. As I walked down the littered hallways, I found the principal’s office as I walked in a certain odour filled the room the type you would find in a second hand store. An assistant greeted I myself and told I myself to go down the hall and turn right to meet the principal and so I did. As I walked into the room, I noticed a family photo the sadness I felt sadness took over my body; it was a Mum, a Dad and a daughter. I was at hoI myself, on the old leather couch as I sat there I heard soI myself seagulls flying outside.…
