Julia Coluzzi-Carioti, without whom I may not be here. Near the end of seventh grade, I asked my parents if I could go to a GSA field trip. My parents who do not support Lgbtq+ affiliates, decided that public school was influencing me for worse, they thought I was giving into an agenda. So they sent me to a private christian school. I lost all contact with friends from public school, except Julia, she was the only person I could talk to about all the pent anger and sadness I had. When I started going to the school, I got very depressed and sometimes even suicidal.
