Personal Narrative: Judson Avenue In Highland Park

Improved Essays
Judson Avenue in Highland Park is a very unique and interesting place. It is where I grew up and live currently. Down my street there are many kids. Lots of them are much younger and a few others are my age and a year older. I grew up hanging out with the kids my age. I hung out and still hang out with a girl named Sydney, who lives about 13 houses down from me and a boy Named Eli, who lived 6 houses down from me. He and his family moved out of our neighborhood and over onto Sheridan Road. I also hung out with a kid named Aidan when I was in elementary school. All nice kids. Me and Sydney still hang out to this day. She and Eli are both my age and we would all sometimes hang out and other times we would do our own thing. All the kids on my street are friendly and nice kids overall. …show more content…
They lead all the way down to the lake. Lake Michigan! One day Aidan and Me went very far through the ravine. Further than we'd ever gone before. Each little bit further we went we were nervous. When you're going down the ravine alone with only one other kid you have every right to be nervous. The ravine is like the Temple Of Doom. Each step Indiana makes he is nervous about because he has no idea what traps lie ahead. We never did make it to the lake but years later I made it to the lake alone. After our ravine journeys stopped and school would start we rarely hung out and then he became homeschooled and we just didn't hang out

Since I was born, New York City has been my life, my blood, and bones; I have grown and lived with many different people with different backgrounds. My neighborhoods have shaped me into who I am today, I am flexible and open, like raw clay, enough to be changed and formed. Then there is the Bronx, a borough of New York, where you have to be strong, or you will not survive, a place where all races are together, and everyone is noisy. I live in a community where there are mostly Hispanics, and where there are always car passing by and honking, during the day it is the only sound you can here, and ear-piercing bird calls, but during the night there is always some kind of party, either that or just really loud music. I have grown to get use…

On 06/29/16, I (Investigator Reyer) was working off duty at Dillard’s Park Plaza. The camera room alerted me that two young black females entered the east store with several bags. The females then went into the polo area and started picking clothes up and looking around. After several minutes they walked behind a clothes stand and stood there. Then they walked up stairs to the top floor (Jr’s).…

When i was younger i used to live at Christopher Lake I spent a lot of my childhood there. There's not much i remember from when i was young, But i remember meeting a guy named Drewe when i was 10 or 11, He was tall for his age with short brown hair and Hazel eyes. He sat next to me and he was pretty funny so we quickly became friends, as we got to know each other better we realized we liked pretty much the exact same things and got along very well. My family migrated to the United States in 1998, and decided to settle down in Little Italy Downtown. Growing up in this neighborhood I have witness new renovations taking place and people moving in and out. Reflecting back to my childhood I remember Little Italy as a small neighborhood with a small population , but over the years the number of young educated adults has moving in has increased drastically. Today Little Italy is made up mostly of restaurants, shops, art galleries, and residential units. Furthermore, this neighborhood can be describe as a very energetic neighborhood, each month Little Italy hosted several events such as festivals, the art walk show, and a weekly farmers market.…

I currently reside in Markham, the city is a part of York Region and is located just north of Toronto. I moved there at the end of eighth grade, and since then it has been my hometown. Markham is a boring place to be, rarely does anything eventful ever happens, and there is really nothing to do, there is a mall, a theatre and occasionally there’s a festival, which is pretty much it. This is aided by the fact that crime is low in the city, there are few murders and little robberies, with most notable crimes being the occasional weed deal here and there. Markham is also a quiet place, mainly thanks to a small population, the minimal traffic and lack of pedestrians keeps noise to a minimum.…

The Midwest is home to states with rich cultural backgrounds and popular tourist attractions. To take a break from the busy schedule I have as a student, and to avoid writing more essays like this, I went on a vacation to Michigan with my mother and two siblings. We visited South Haven, a pleasant port city on Lake Michigan’s east coast, and Detroit, the famous largest city in Michigan. These areas interest me because there’s plenty to do; there are amazing restaurants, breath-taking scenery, and family-friendly, inexpensive entertainment. South Haven is famed for its relaxed atmosphere and homely feel.…

I also had some other friends. We played together sometimes, but Kesiah was my really good friend. One day, though, that started to slowly change. It all stared at a convention at the Mayo Clinic Area in Rochester, MN. I was playing with my friends, running around, having fun, when my Mom wanted me to meet the Patton kids.…

Lemoore, California. The 559, the 93245, the small rural town located in the central region of the San Joaquin Valley. A place that will melt flip flops to the ground in the summer, yet it will have people gathering around a fire in the winter with their hands wrapped tightly around a steaming cup of cocoa. Not much goes on in this town and it is not quite what someone would call a vacation destination, but there is indeed something special about this town. This special characteristic is the way religion connects and creates a family out of the majority of people who live in this town.…

A few blocks north of Foothill Blvd. , Clark Magnet sits close to the hillside and is painted beige and green. The school is clean too, for it has students who pick up their trash before going to class. On one side of the school, the amphitheater slopes up to the Panther Pit, but on the other side is the parking lot lined with cars—BMWs, Hondas, every kind, carrying their drivers and passengers with backpacks for odd and even days; and there are solar panels that arch over the cars. On the PE field the students run slow or fast and some of them scream if a lizard runs among them.…
