Superior Essays
Early this year, to be exact in the last week of January, happened a tragedy to me. This event marked me because it never had happened to me something similar until then. That is why it was more impacting on me than it probably had to be. People have to learn lessons from experiences either good or bad, and I did learned something after the stealing of my purse that I used to carry when I go to Cd. Juarez.
I go to Cd. Juarez, Mexico every Sunday to visit my mother because she lives there, and she cannot cross to the United States. One Sunday, the day of the stealing, I was happy as every weekend to go visit my mom. I did not expected something like this happening to me even though Juarez has already fame from time ago as a dangerous city.

There at the parking of the office, I stepped out of my dad’s truck and left my purse at the copilot’s seat, to go pick up my document. My dad and sister that came with me stayed inside the truck. At the parking there were just the “parkeros” men who help drivers get out of the parking, and a lady with her two grandchildren setting up their snack and candy stand. There are not actual offices, just various IFE agents at separated tables in a big room. The office is at the second floor and people have to stay at the waiting space until called. I entered the office, checked in with the secretary lady, and took a seat in the waiting area. Three minutes later, my dad stepped in to accompany me, so my sister stayed at the truck. My dad’s vehicle is a little S-10 Chevrolet, cabin and a half. My sister was at the half cabin where there are little seats, and the truck was open windows down. My dad and I were still waiting when suddenly we see that my sister entered the office. I raised from my seat and said her, “Go back to the truck while I wait for my ID, it would not take long, go outside and keep an eye on the truck because someone can steal it!.” Then she replied, “But there is a man that fell…” I was confused about what she said but I did not let her speak anymore, I just pushed her out. It would not take long since I only went to pick it up. Within the minute my sister entered again the office, and at the …show more content…
My dad followed me, but before getting out, he yelled and bruised her. At the moment I felt bad for her, I did not wanted my dad to mistreat her. I was crying and walking all around the truck, my dad was trying to calm me down but still very angry too. And I had good reason, because it was not only a purse, I had valuable things inside, money and important documents of mine. Outside the office, in the parking I made a show or a noticeable tantrum, people were watching me cry. My dad and I still crying were trying to figure out if the people at the parking saw something, what the man was wearing, or where direction did he go. But they did not, the little girl who came with her grandmother in the candy stand said that she saw, but she was not concrete. People did not agree the direction the theft took. The event I do not know how was now known by the office staff. They could not do anything, because outside in the parking there was a signboard that said they are not responsible for any robbery or anything outside the office. But they did lend me a phone to call the police and make a
