Personal Narrative Journal Analysis

Over all writing the narrative journal made me have a great time. Being able to reminisce and write down what I experienced during the photo was fun. Looking at the photo for a couple of minutes, helped me gather my thoughts quickly and played the scene in my head as if I was there. Even though not every picture had a great story behind it, it made me realize that everything that has happened in my life are memories that will always stick to me. The problems that I encountered was being able to add more sensory details to my narrative journal. I was able to remember the memory, trying to write down every sensory detail became a little challenging. Writing the memory as I experience was simple, but knowing that I had to add sensory details made

The Labyrinth of the Recollection Process Commonly, remembering enjoyable experiences makes you living full of joy, and remembering uncomfortable experiences makes you living in the swamps. Memories are like a coin that has two faces: happiness and sadness. Although these two are totally opposed to each other by meaning, they play a very important role in recalling our memories. Memory forming is a relatively simple process which requires the one’s effort to memorize the event and how important or serious the event is for him or her.…

Journal Entry: I woke up late for class this morning, so I didn’t get to eat a good breakfast. I went to the store on the way to campus and got some orange juice and a granola bar to tide to over until after my classes. I wouldn’t necessarily count this as one of my two days that I get to go out and eat because it was a snack and it was partially healthy. When I got out of class, I made a couple of sandwiches while I did the last day in my journal so I could submit it before I went to work. On Wednesday’s I usually don’t work that late, but just in case I did I got all my homework done.…

It was a cool evening on the date of December 15, 1876 when it all happened. My boyfriend and I Lisa were on our way back home to Lidtke Mill, Iowa,on our way to the kids. Mike was getting weary, so he decided to pull over to rest. Little did we know at the time it would be a mistake. Soon after he fell asleep I heard this odd noise I just couldn’t fall asleep, so I decided to step out and gain control over my thoughts.…

This is my first year of high school, and so far I am enjoying this year more than any of my previous years in elementary school at Aviston Elementary. In the past years, I was a stressed out loner who was easily annoyed by everything and could not get long-term projects done without having a melt down at some point. However, in this year that has changed. I have made a few friends who have stayed with me for the entire year, learned to tolerate immature, childish actions, and have not felt completely overwhelmed to this date. This year and previous years both had their moments, but I would not change anything that happened because they both helped make me who I am now.…

Demonizing processed food will not end obesity but embracing the true could make a little more difference in making a healthier eating habit with junk food. In recent years the food industry has been trying to break that chain and make wholesome food more convenient and affordable, some restaurants have also joined forces to make sure the serve the best low possible calories in the market. The people that are affected by these processed food endemics are mostly the poor and people who don’t have time to cook, so it easier to just swing by a drive-thru and buy the easiest and cheapest meal while late for work or having five dollars in your pocket. David Zinczenko is also similar to freedman, they both talk about not blaming the consumer but…

I was planning on saving this message for the end of the session, but I think this is the best time to send it. I am contacting you to tell you how I am feeling about this season, especially recently. I do not want to talk to you one on one because last time I tried nothing changed. Last time I talked to you you kind of talked around the subject, pushing the blame on other less related topics, and after trying my best to improve on the one area you told me to I feel like everything is just getting worse. Concerning the game against Francis Howell North, I am very angry of how you told me at the beginning of the second half to be ready, yet I never played in the second half.…

“Is she mute?”or “Can she talk?”, are just some of the too frequently asked questions that have had the pleasure of gracing my ears for as long as I can remember. A comment on my quietness never failed as the first word out of my teacher’s mouth during each parent-teacher conferences throughout middle-school. The next thing usually referred to my superb artistic abilities in which my blundering portrait of a person looked less like a blob than those of my classmates. I was, “that quiet girl who is a good artist”. This was my title and what defined me.…

If someone found out about the violent video game the shooters were influenced by, we could have possibly stopped the attack. In a study, researchers found out that “real-life violent video game play was positively related to aggressive behavior and delinquency… and exposure to a graphically violent video game increased aggressive thoughts and behavior” (CITE). Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris were known for playing the video game doom. In doom, you are known for being the first person shooter, basically becoming the character. Eric Harris even created his own version of doom, that was very similar to their actual attack.…

During my nine years of elementary and middle school, I attended a small charter school with less than one hundred fifty students total K-8. I had most of the same classmates year after year, and the same outdoor school campus and teachers. With the exception of a few students who came and went, most of us were together through eighth grade. In those nine years, I made friends with these classmates and had a small school experience. We spent time playing in the creeks and using the many outdoor classrooms.…

By the time my sophomore year of high school had come to an end my work and creations had touched the minds of a groundbreaking 30 million people. Ironically enough, this unthinkable opportunity to connect with the rest of the world all began with what I presume to be the most defective and unbearable laptop that has ever been created. One early Saturday morning, for lack of better things to do, I went online and began creating YouTube tutorials for popular video games. At first I had little experience, made very poor quality videos, and had very few intentions of taking it seriously, although little did I know that I would eventually turn this passion of mine into a profitable business. Whilst toying among the plethora of available editing…

As a young girl, my neighborhood friend and I would stargaze consistently throughout the summer. We would lay on her trampoline, look at the stars, and have detailed conversations about space. While we were lying down in the palpable darkness, we would identify as many constellations as possible. Although, the main night that stands out to me, was when her father brought his telescope outside to give us a close viewing of Jupiter. That moment still affects me today since I have continued to stargaze in my yard or when I’m in the vast cornfield around my neighborhood.…

Let me first start off start by saying how lucky and fortunate I have been my entire life. I come from an incredible family; middle-class, college educated, white---within all of this I have recognized the privilege I have been born into and the calling within me to give back in any and all ways possible. However, this did not come without having hit rock bottom. In college I felt very much that I was going through the motions: get good grades, make my parents proud, go to graduate school, and maintain scholarships--- all of this combined led me to a series of bad decisions but ultimately have put my life in the most beautiful place to date.…

Imagine migrating to a new city, a bizarre place where people speak a different language. When I was seven years old, I moved from San Juan, Puerto Rico to Staten Island, New York. Right away I started the third grade, and quickly realized that in school no one spoke Spanish.
