I’ve always aspired to be a naturally great athlete. While it’s true some are born with inherent athletic talent, I was, for the most part, not one of them. I’ve run, wishing to be the fastest; lifted, wishing to be the strongest; unfortunately, such intentions were, in majority, only fantasies. Though, despite never having achieved the status of star athlete throughout my athletic career, I’ve derived a great amount of invaluable experience from my time in it: experience that I’ve applied in my education as well as all other aspects of my life.
In particular, in my participation in sports, if there’s anything that I’ve learned from it, it’s that success requires an absolute wealth of determination and effort.…
