Personal Narrative-It's Time To Carry Large Signs

The new assignment intrigued Ruth since she had never dealt with protesters, but was determined to write an article that would impress her editor. When she drove into the parking lot at the Modern Girl’s Cosmetic Factory, she got out of the car and saw several people walking back and forth in front of the building, carrying large signs. The messages written in large black letters on bright-colored poster boards clearly stated. ‘NO FACTORY IN OUR TOWN USING OUR ANIMALS and SAVE OUR PETS’. On the other side of the building, she noticed others carrying similar signs stating ‘ANIMALS ARE PLENTIFUL’, ‘WE NEED JOBS’ and ‘COSMETICS DON’T KILL’ ‘TOO MANY ANIMALS, USE THEM’.
Police officers stood nearby to insure the groups were peaceful. Although,

“Thank you for inviting me, but I need to finish some work. I will be in touch with you,” Ruth said as she went out the door, she heard the phone ring and Mr. Silvers asked them to hold.
When Ruth arrived at the car, she waited for several minutes thinking about them mistreating the poor innocent animals. Suddenly she saw Mr. Silvers going to a black Mercedes and decided to follow him. She thought I might learn something.
Ruth followed him to the neighborhood bar and watched him enter the Coos Coo’s Nest, but she remained in the car. After five minutes or so, she watched two huge men enter the bar. Within minutes, the three of them came out, got into Mr. Silvers’ Mercedes and drove down the street. Ruth followed them at a safe distance. She watched as they parked in the field not far from the old man’s house and then got out of the car.
Ruth was careful driving further down the road, parked under some trees and hurried back to see what they were doing. Hiding in the tall grass Ruth tried to watch them, but could not see anyone. After several minutes, she crept closer to the car and still could not see anyone. At last, she walked up to the car, looked in the window, she saw the keys lying in the front seat, but nothing

A few minutes later, she drove back to where she had just seen two vehicles parked. Now there was only the Mercedes. I must tell someone, She thought driving down the street. Ruth tried telling several people about the truck, they laughed and refused to believe her. While driving down the interstate toward Charleston, she could not stop thinking about Mr. Silvers. Arriving home, Ruth sat on the patio thinking about the experience and wondered what happened to the Green truck. It was only a few minutes. Yet something happened to the truck and there were no tire marks anywhere. During the last weeks Ruth had spent time in Howardsville and knew there was something odd about the little mining community,
The next morning, Ruth went to the office for a few hours to catch up on some work and stopped to see her grandfather, before she drove to the mining town. When she arrived and noticed an unusually large number of officers on the streets. “What is going on?” she asked several people that ignored
