Spring semester I was enrolled in Busi 620: Global Economic Environment and Busi 642: Contemp. Issues in Human Resources. Spring semester was very stressful for me dealing with family, work, and medical issues, which caused a negative outcome toward my school work and grades. The first term of the semester in, which I was taking Busi 620, I was going through a lot of obstacles financially with garnishments of my husband and I wages from work, being sick and my children being sick, and my husband grandfather having a brain infection. For two months my husband and I wages were garnished, which left us in a financial hardship to pay bills and provide for our family. During this time period, I was also fighting a court case in which we ultimately got evicted from our current apartment. The next …show more content…
Towards the end of February and almost of the middle of March I became very sick, lethargic, and fatigued, which prompted me to go to the emergency room. I was found to be very dehydrated and a test was positive for pregnancy. The doctor had to prescribe medicine for nausea because it was so bad it was hard for me to function at work and trying to complete school work. Next, my other two children were sick a week apart from each other and were sent home from school for a week. With all the chaos going on personally I started to get overwhelmed and frustrated because I fell behind tremendously in my school work and before I knew it another term along with another class was getting ready to start. During the second term in which I enrolled in Busi 642, I eventually became depressed and did not know how to recover from everything that was taking place and how to get back on my feet with school. When this class started I fell behind because I thought I was dropped from this class already because I received an email from the Liberty stating

In the Human Services field I am very passionate about working with people in the deaf culture. I am passionate about working with this population because I know American Sign Language and I feel a connection to the community. Learning ASL took a long time and allowed me to be engaged in many events in the deaf community. I believe people in this population are not given nearly as much attention or opportunities as they should be. The lack of equal access to education, jobs, and basic interactions that hearing people take for granted is not fair and puts this population at a disadvantage therefore making it important for people to want to work with this group of people.…

Couple weeks ago, my husband wanted to introduce me to the human resources specialist, who used to work with him at the same company. I was kind of reluctant at the beginning to meet and chat with a stranger, especially that I haven’t met her in my whole life and I don’t know how she looks like. After she replied to my husband in a week or so, we exchanged phone numbers and managed to add each other on Linkedin, advances in technology made it so much easier for both of us. I was capable of viewing her profile and familiarizing myself with her career history. Time has come for us to meet and we managed to set time around 3:30 at a coffee shop.…

I had a training with the army, and that required me to absence from school for two weeks.
