Involvement in community and church activities has been a major priority throughout my life. I have participated in various types of volunteer efforts. I raked leaves in the fall with my high school student council, and participated in community clean up with the volleyball team. I am very involved within my church as I assist with tasks such as ushering, filming of services, and performing in the church choir. I am a Vacation Bible School leader during the summer, and assist with the after school program called ARK. Watching and helping children grow in their faith is rewarding. I also participated in two mission trips organized by my church. The first mission trip took place during the summer of 2012 when a group traveled to Joplin, Missouri
