Decent Essays
Sorry for the late e-mail! Hope you catch this in the morning.

I have attached my current Resume to this e-mail. The only thing that I did not add was my internship with the Sioux Falls Storm for this following semester. They told me that I have a position as an intern, but they are unaware of where to place me due to interviewing a few more people. The options that they said I will most likely be in are between marketing and game operations.

To answer the question of what I am applying for, I am applying for the United States Olympic Committee Internship that will be located at California, New York or Colorado this upcoming summer. The position that I am looking forward to is marketing intern. This would help me reach my goal is to work

I have played baseball ever since I was a young kid, but somehow, at seventeen I still had numerous struggles with it. You would think after my grandpa being drafted to the Pittsburgh Pirates, a Major League baseball team, and my dad getting a full ride to the University of Denver their skill would have rubbed off on me, but you would be wrong. I wasn't terrible, I could hit a 90 mile per hour fastball and I could, for the most part, field a ground ball. However, I was definitely not about to be scouted by the college scouts.…

I started playing baseball when I was 7 years old and at that time I was actually playing T-Ball. For awhile I played baseball for a place called Twin City. While I was at Twin City I had mostly played the second base position. Twin City was an alright organization because they didn't have players with the best attitudes. Those players with not so good attitudes affected our teams ability to win.…

As teenagers growing up in Powder Springs, Georgia during the 1980’s, it was somewhat challenging at times to find safe and entertaining ways to occupy our time. Even though we did not have free reign to do as we chose, I would not categorize my parents as extremely strict. Relying on our parents, as if they were our personal taxi service, my sister and I struggled to find activities relatively close to home. After discovering we really enjoyed skating, we spent countless Friday and Saturday nights at the Sparkles Skating Rink in Paulding County. The indoor facility was a safe environment for teenagers, which provided my parents with a certain level of comfort to allow us to gather with friends.…

I would definitely consider the job that I had during my internship as a future career. Lacrosse is something that I am very passionate about, and I want it to be part of my life even after I stop playing. I am also really interested in business administration and sports management. My internship gave me the opportunity to grow and expand my skill set, and also learn a great deal about what I want to do after college. Interning at Revolution Lacrosse (REV), I was able to learn so much about sports management, how it works, and how it can be applied in the workforce.…

An internship is normally a work task a student completes after a series of classes to gain a degree in a particular field they think they’ll love, whether they still love it after they’ve completed that journey is based upon a multitude of criteria. Luckily, I have found that I quite enjoy fashion and working in retail throughout this internship at Dress Barn. Occasionally students find that what they thought they were getting into, is actually completely different than what they expected. Especially when reading about a profession on paper versus seeing it up closer in real life. When I started college, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study or achieve with my life.…

During my internship experience, I learned a lot of things that I thought I knew but are misconstrued on. With that being said, I know everything must be done in decent order or this will cause chaos and lead to confusion. I also learned everything takes patience and is very time- consuming. I became frustrated, so many times and just wanted to give up, but I had to remind myself that hard times are going to come and everything is going to work out. Many times I sat on my bed crying because it seems like everything piled on me at one time.…

This summer I did my internship at Miller Children’s Hospital. I had a great experience where I was able to apply my knowledge and skills. This fall I am back at Miller and I am ready to learn more and get the hands on practice I need to be successful in my career. In my college career which has been around 4 years now, these first two weeks are the first of any trimester or semester that instead of being enrolled in classes, I’m enrolled in an internship. This is definitely a change from the norm but at the same time it is exciting as well. It gives me the opportunity to use or observe some of the material that I have learned so far in my classes at Johnson & Wales in a real scenario. This internship allows me as well to gain much needed additional experience in the sports and athletics industry and will give me a more holistic view of the athletic program. It will allow me to see many different roles and see from various projects what parts of athletics I like or dislike since I am overall still open for the future to a variety of roles in the sports industry…
