Personal Narrative: Causing Other Problems In My Car

Improved Essays
I was in a situation that involved inductive reasoning where I had to decide whether a weird sound my car was making was causing other problems in my car. My car had problems in earlier years that sounded the same as the one it was having recently. I was not too sure if taking it to the body shop was the best idea, because I already had taken it once and I thought it was all fix with no more problems to occur, but I was apparently wrong. All I could think of was that I had put my money to a waste by taking it to the same mechanic, and I was not seeing results that my car was actually fixed to a point that it lasted me a long time before something else was wrong with it. A new idea came up to me that it would be best if I got several opinions from different body shops, so than I had choices to choose from where I would take it to get it fix next, that I could afford. After going to several body shops to get different prices it became more difficult because then they would find more problems with the car which stressed me out because if it was not one thing it was another. Many thoughts came to my mind when they told me about the other problems my …show more content…
I analyzed all the places I went to and noted down the pros and cons of all the body shops. Even though in my mind I wanted a new car the talk with my parents let me see that I could not get something that I could not afford that I would end up in debt. At last I concluded that I would take it to the body shop that would fix everything for a reasonable price. I decided to hang on a little more and work extra hours since they had told me the problems were not major but they would need a fix as soon as possible. By working more hours I was able to save up a decent amount of money, and I could afford to fix everything that needed a

Attached are the two quotes I received from Tom’s Auto Body and Danser. I also tried to go to Bates Collision (thats where I got my jeep fixed, they were really good) but they were booked up for today. I can call and schedule an appointment with them as well if you want. Both shops confirmed that all the damage to the car is cosmetic, no damage was done to the frame of the card just the bumper. Danzer confirmed that the car is drivable with no worries, the only thing not working is obviously the passenger side backup light.…

Meanwhile, poor Sarah was home worrying about me, and the weather, which appeared particularly nasty. Texas is where we learned the phrase “tornado watch.” In fact, when we left Texas to finish flight school in Fort Rucker, Alabama she said she would never live in Texas again. At the time, I was too worried about dying in a helicopter crash or failing the next phase and “washing out” to give her the attention she deserved. We were newlyweds, and she forgave me-…

When I ride it's like the earth stops at every corner so I can check to make sure a, loud, car isn't roaring towards me. It's like that feeling in your chest that tells you that everything is going to be ok, yet your mind is screaming at you that it won't be. I ride because I was thought that you need to be active in life, but it was never about the one hour of activity time we are supposed to have growing up. it was much more than that. I didn't need help to ride, I needed help to face down my enemies, or conquer my dreams.…

It was my first auto and I worked so hard for it. I checked out a few dealerships, avenues and parking areas for an auto that popped out at me and was in my value range. I was searching for stick shift autos on the grounds that every one of my companions had one and since I need to be a workman I thought it would be an essential aptitude to know. I was taking a gander at 2011 Nissan Maxima which was a truly lovely auto yet it was out of my value extent…

After five hours under Mrs. Gonzalez’s 1997 Plymouth, my hands were so dirty I had to wash them ten times just to see my fingernails again. She was a familiar face around the shop, given that neighborhood thieves had routinely targeted her car. This time, though, they had gone too far. Someone had crawled underneath the car and cut out the valuable catalytic converter, and she couldn’t afford a replacement. When I looked at her and said, “That’ll be $563,” her face turned pale.…

One problem with my car is that it looks terrible. The once-shiny paint is now dull and bleached from road salt, there are patches of rust around the wheel wells and fenders. There is a dent in the passenger door that someone left while I was grocery shopping last year, and ever since another student hit my car in the school parking lot, the trunk latch has not worked, and I have had to tie it down with a cord. Furthermore, the interior of my car is no better than the exterior. The carpet is stained from years of carrying around two kids and a dog, and the upholstery is torn in several places.…

By making observations it will lead you to a conclusion most of the time. Inductive reasoning also has its weaknesses. One of them are the fact that it is very limited. You might think with the observations you did your conclusions must be certain but by simply making further observations you can now prove those old conclusions wrong. That is also why there is aways changes in many scientific conclusions, other people just observe further and prove old conclusions are wrong.…

My first car was something that I greatly was looking forward to getting as a child and my interest in getting one grew, as the days got closer to my sixteenth birthday. The first car I owned was a Automatic Black 2004 Ford f-150 truck, which I discovered on a website called Craigslist. It was priced at five thousand nine hundred dollars with only eighty-four thousand miles on it, which in my case was great considering that I could only afford a seven thousand dollar car. The truck came with all manual locks and windows and also had a small amount of hail damage that could really only be seen at a certain angle. But even with reasonable price on the truck I still attempted to negotiate for an even lower price to further my luck.…
