Immense Presence of Energy
In spite of that I still had a longing to comprehend the text’s meaning and persisted in my search; whereby, in due course, one day I decided to start from the very beginning, and read the entire manuscript again; however, this time reading verse by verse s-l-o-w-l-y; from Genesis to Malachi. Day after day, I notably prayed for divine wisdom and guidance to grasp the answers to my puzzling questions. Ultimately, a revelation finally transpired, as though a light came on; showing clarity of the scriptures that began to come alive with excitement. The verses in each book began to flow together and set in motion the prophet’s testimony of God’s glorious devotion that opened a new reality of a divine love of benevolence

The kind, gentleness of this magnificent power became magnificent and seemed to struggle constantly for a relationship and acceptance. In fact, I became overwhelmed with tears, numerous times during my study, to realize the intensity and determination this presence had and the rejection He/she endured. Unequivocally, the majority of the LORD’S assistance encompassed a multitude of unappreciative people, with terrible attitudes. Nevertheless, this transformation developed into a positive outlook within my being. For instead of viewing the prophets as delusional oppressors that were always threatening people; I assuredly experienced extreme sympathy and compassion for these misunderstood mighty men. Furthermore, I realized the prophets were a wonderful evolving illumination of God. The prophet’s description of a genuine marriage partnership with God occurred as comprehensible, when the clarity of the Divine’s position …show more content…
Certainly, this request endures above any of one’s earthly partnerships, regardless of what involvement one may become associated with; for we persist as being divinely directed to be marriage partners with the LORD, as Jeremiah states that, “For I am married unto you…”Jer 3:14.
The sexual talk between God and His people in the Old Testament makes boundless folks, both scholars and numerous others feel quite uneasy, wanting to explain it away as metaphors, allegories, symbolism and such; regardless, I belief its direct meaning states precisely what it means. The terminology used regarding the marriage relationship presented by God occurs frank and to the point by various Major Prophets that relate to this divine involvement (Isa 54:5, Jer 3:14, 31:32).
Unfortunately, this relationship with God became diminished by the people’s idolatry and lustful actions; resulting in the Prophets plain-spoken attacks on the Israelites adulterous actions throughout the entry text. There are numerous stories of God being …“broken with their whorish heart” (Ezek 6:9); referring to whores, whoredom and harlots repetitively by the Prophets Isaiah, Jeremiah, and

If one were to ask a practicing Christian what a prophet is, there is no doubt that most would be able to formulate some type of definition. However, many people’s thoughts on what a prophet is are often incomplete or even incorrect. While there are many places one could look to find an adequate definition of a prophet, Abraham Heschel provides an analysis of prophets unlike any other. Heschel’s analysis goes into great detail about what a prophet is, and what a prophet is not.…

Lyn M. Bechtel discusses Genesis 34, which is a controversial verse in the Bible because it might involve rape. Genesis 34 tells a story of two young people, Dinah and Shechem, in which Shechem has sexual intercourse with Dinah and it is perceived by biblical scholars and other readers to be non consensual, therefore, classified as rape. The girl, Dinah, is Jacob's daughter, who is unmarried and not bonded to any other at time time of intercourse. Many scholars believe that the intercourse between Dinah and Shechem was forced upon Dinah. Bechtel argues that Dinah was not raped in the modern sense of the word, which is classified “as a man’s forcible, aggressive sexual intercourse with a women.”…

As Ishmael defines a “prophet,” humans are portrayed as people in need of some kind of guidance. Whether its Hammurabi, Jesus, Buddha, or Muhammad, all “prophets” come bearing the true way to live life. “Prophets” are main part of today’s “taker” culture and provide guidance for people, who are flawed and in need of a narrative since they do not know how to live (89, 205). Often times though, a “prophet’s” way of life is not in accordance with another concept of Ishmael, the laws of nature. Like the creation story, “prophets” and the culture they create ignore the fact that humans are part of the Earth and must obey the laws of Earth (99).…

    2. Eve is a very important figure for Judaism because she is the first women that was created. The Jewish understanding of her is slightly different than the Christian understanding, in that Jews do not see Eve as the source of original sin like Christians do. The negative and most common way of viewing Eve is that she is the cause of the fall of humanity and the expulsion of her and Adam from the perfect Garden of Eden is blamed on her. Many people see her as weak because she fell for the lies of the serpent.…

Paul states that people’s bodies are the “members of Christ,” comparatively along side of being “members of a harlot.” This clearly states without a doubt, that one’s sexual body is for the LORD; that one’s body is a possession belonging to Christ. This is obviously a sexual comparison; therefore, conclusively, what this is stating is that one’s sexual body belongs to the LORD-period! As discussed earlier, sexual perversion was rampant as people were inundated with a variety of choices. Particularly with Aphrodite and other harlot goddesses that people were sexually involved with; therefore Paul’s comparison to a harlot is factual and to the point.…

There is a wide consensus among both early and modern commentators that themembers of the first group of sinners, those who shout ‘Sodom’ (lines 40 and 79), aremen (and apparently only men, if one is to rely solely on the textual evidence) who havehad same-sex relations. If one is to use the medieval term, they are ‘sodomites’. Thesouls from the second group, described by the enigmatic adjective ‘hermaphroditic’,reprove themselves by shouting the exemplary story of Pasipha¨e (lines 41–42; 86–87).According to Ovid, Pasipha¨e was queen of Crete and wife of King Minos.2Havingbeen cursed by the god Poseidon, she fell in love with a bull and having entered aspecially constructed wooden cow (the ‘rough-hewn wood’ of line 87), mated with itand gave…

The first chapter of Transformed into Fire is titled “The Call to Communion”, which seems to be the main focus of this chapter. Hougen (2002) shares a couple of people’s stories through this chapter, each person’s story showed that they wanted to feel God’s love, not just hear/learn about it. She talks about the head and the heart; the head is about performance, and logic, while the heart is about experience, and feeling. She begins to explain the difference between communication, and communion. While communication is headwork, we listen, take orders, and perform, communion is being there, feeling, experience what is going on.…

Marriage 's have a different definition nowadays, then what God had planned at the beginning of creation. In Genesis, God spoke “It is not good for man to be alone” (Gen 2:18) So God decided to make man a helpmate by putting Adam into a deep sleep and taking one of his ribs. After Adam awoke, God brought Adam his wife, which in turn Adam said, “This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh: She shall be called woman because she was taken out of Man.” (Gen 2:23)…

Many people tend to depersonalize the Holy Spirit because it does not sound nearly as relational as Father and Son. However, according to the Nicene Creed, the Spirit does have a relational status because of its eternal relationship with the Father and Son. The Spirit actually proceeds from not only the Father, but from the Son as well and this adds to its relational status. Next, the novel discusses that God is above gender; therefore, it is argued that people need to avoid using masculine terms for God and stop forming images of Him when in fact it is the other way around. Next the book briefly talks about how the Spirit works through people in their lives and how it connects with the physical and religious aspects of humanity.…

In the “Historical Grounding: Beyond Sexual Essentialism” by Carter Heyward, she conveys her message to readers that sexuality can be seen as an aspect of humanity. In which Christians must remember that god’s grace is sufficient in whatever battle may be faced, Christians should speak out loud then remain being silent against those who speaks for god but spread lies. She even claims that relationships between men and women as being dominated by men through the power they hold over women in sexual relationship. It seems to be assumed that women can only achieve empowerment through the fulfillment in areas in which men have traditionally dominated. Heyward contents that this domination fulfilled only because of men’s control over women through…
