In my advance math class in 6th grade, I was getting C's on every test and thought about dropping the class to go to an easier class. Looking back on it now, I'm glad I did not do this. I was able to buckle down, study more, and eventually pull all my grades back up to an A. If I had not pushed myself to go beyond what I am capable of doing, I might not be where I am today in my studies. I developed good study habits, and improved on my time management. These events helped my to grow in other areas of my life as well. I started running my freshman year of high school, and was immediatley put on the girl's varsity team. I was the slowest of the seven, but did not work as hard at practice as I should have to get better. The same went for my sophomore year. I was just getting by, always coming in last on the team. However, after my outdoor track season my sphomore year, I realized that I may not be on the varsity team my junior year. The summer before my junior year, I began to increase my milage, and incorporate speed workouts, and hill strides. I was improving and secured my varsity spot and our number three runner. I was excited, I dropped a good amount of time each race, and was beginning to enjoy running. Now, I continue
