Personal Narrative: I Was Pregnant With My First Child

When I found out I was pregnant with my first child I was about to turn twenty-one. my daughter wasn't planned, but she wasn't unexpected either. I think that at that age I was ready. I felt like I can take care of another person. I felt like I was ready to be a mother. In the begging of the pregnancy, it was already taking a toll on me. I felt as if I was waking up every morning in excruciating pain like things weren't normal. Every time I had a visit with my Dr. she would tell me that it was morning sickness and that all moms go through it. So I would go home thinking that pregnancy was the worst thing ever. Three months into my pregnancy I was experiencing a lot of pain so bad that I would wake up screaming in pain. I would stay in a hot shower for hours. …show more content…
When I got there they immediately started to help me figure out what exactly was wrong with me. They took me back to a room where the Dr. did an Ultrasound above my stomach right on my abdomen where I was experiencing the pain.The Dr. took me back to my room and I waited for what seemed forever. When they finally came back they told me that I had an inflamed gallbladder and that I would need surgery. I had begun to ask why and how if I was three months pregnant. They told me that I would have to wait till I was five months pregnant to get the surgery.I was so confused and lost in thought of how was it going to be posable because I was in so much pain. I asked how was I going to hold up for the next to months if I can't take it another night. The Drs told me that I had to stay in the hospital and be on a strict diet. At that point, I could hardly keep anything down. I was afraid of losing my child because of how I couldn't keep a healthy eating cycle. I did whatever they asked me to do if it meant keeping my
