Personal Narrative: I Want To Go To The WS

Decent Essays
Have you ever wanted to go to a postseason game? It was the middle of October and the Giants just beat the Nationals in the NLDS. My family was watching the game in the living room. My dad had asked us if we wanted to attend NLCS game 1. Obviously being a Giants fan and the game being in St. Louis we would be able to go, so we all agreed we should go. Then my dad said that if we go to the NLCS game and the giants go to the WS and so do the Royals, then we would not be able to go to a WS game. Knowing that both teams possibly could and could not make it. I decided we play it safe and go the NLCS game. My mom agreed with me, but my dad did not. My dad ended up giving up and getting tickets to the NLCS game 1.

My very first baseball game I can remember it like it was yesterday. A hot sunny day Burning the pavement, the heat beating down on our car as we drive to downtown Houston. After three exhausting hours and two tire blowouts we finally arrived at Minute Maid Park the home of the Houston Astros, my first baseball game. Once we got past the security line we were free to go to our seats which were located in the middle of first and home. We got there about half an hour before the game started so the batters were out in the batting cage crushing the ball with a mighty swing, I was hypnotized by how gracefully they moved their…

My recurrent shoulder dislocations were a constant battle, but a battle in which I’d always won. After a dislocation, all it took was a couple weeks of physical therapy before I could return to the baseball field. Although, after my fifth dislocation I ended up sitting in the hospital awaiting the results of my MRI with an uncomfortable feeling in my stomach. My surgeon soon returned with news that my injury required a season-ending surgery. Thus, I had a Bankart Repair on my throwing shoulder, and afterwards, although devastated, I supported my teammates from the sidelines for the entirety of the season.…

I was playing lacrosse on a warm spring day in Glen Ellyn. I could feel my adrenaline spike, accompanied by my heart beating out of my chest. We finally had the ball on our side. The first place team that happened to be our school’s arch nemesis, had selfishly kept the ball to themselves so far. Every second we had possession was precious as we knew the opportunities to score would be few.…

When I was about six years old, my friends who were about 12 or 13 at the time invited me to the baseball field. The one bad part was that to get to the baseball field we had to cross a major road to get there, but at least there was a light. My parents told me I could only go if we were being driven, but I went anyway. It was scary crossing the street, mostly because we did not cross at the crosswalk. We were too lazy to walk down the neighborhood and cross at the light.…
