In the middle of my sophomore year, I was asked by a senior if I would like to be the president of a dance club they had started that year. The club members knew that I was apart of a well known dance studio. I refrain from making hasty decisions, a trait that’s made it easier to manage time and keep my life organized. It’s not that I don’t enjoy some spontaneity, just that I’ve had experience with faulty planning. I like to consider as many details and possible outcomes of a situation before making a decision; in fact, I believe it’s my best characteristic. Thinking things through allows me to make sound, satisfying choices in both my academic and social life. It is a practice that has saved me from careless mistakes on math tests and kept my activities.…

When you hear something that is not quite right what are you supposed to do? For me this answer is very simple, say the right answer. If i am sure that i am correct on a matter i will put my foot down, i will argue my case until the opposing side submits and agrees with what i am thinking Although if i am not sure that i am one hundred percent correct i will not initiate the argument. With all of this i might not seem to headstrong but if someone believes i did something i did not do, well there is where the problem lies. I become one of the most stubborn people you could imagine.…

The Arrival I had originally planned to travel to Rio on September 5th through September 12th. A perspicacious and experienced hunter named Rainsford accompanied me. It was nighttime when I first spotted land of any sort. It was vaguely visible and was opaque, so misty that even Rainsford couldn’t see it. Utterly tired, I began drifting off, dreaming of the adventures we were soon to face.…

I had never seen so many ponies at the Manhattan Memorial park. Fillies were running around screaming, playing, chasing one another, giggling. By the looks of it, the chess competitors were trying to meditate in an isolated area of the park, preparing their minds for the tournament. From afar, I could hear drums and trombones. Seats were placed around the competitors’ tables, where they would eventually falter to either a win or a loss.…

He turned on the flashlight and started knocking on the floorboards until he found the ones that sounded as if there was nothing under them. He took them out quickly and pulled a rather large backpack from the resulting hole. He then put the floorboards back, turned off the flashlight, put it back at the foot of the bed and crawled out from under the bed.…

Not everybody will like you—it’s a statement I've always heard, understood and accepted. What I didn't realized until fairly recently in my life, is that some people take this to the next level. Some people will hate you for reasons seemingly unknown or unreasonable to you. It all started with the rehearsals of the 2015 school spring musical of The Addams Family that my friend, we'll just refer to him as Pugsley, myself and a couple other friends, were met with the presence of a then junior, who we'll refer to as, Katrina.…

Tom unknotted the tie that accompanied the tie that accompanied his light brown woolen suit jacket, and wondered for what seemed to be the millionth time why Dectives were required to dress as if they were wall-street bankers or stock analysts. At least when out in public, whenever he was alone in his office, the tie came off, as did the jacket, and he undid the top button of his shirt, as he sat back in his chair, with his eyes raised to the ceiling and tapping the tip of a blue pen against his lips. His mode of concentration and contemplation as he considered the case. So intent was the man's focus as he attempted to figure out the next move on an investigation which had barely started that everything else was forgotten, even the fact that he'd called his wife, and the sudden familiar sound of her voice, accompanied by the aroma of food, startled him.…
