My Expectation To Nursing School

I kid you not. It has taken me two months to write this essay. I guess I am finding it challenging to show you me in words. This will be my third time applying to the school of nursing. What scares me the most, is not knowing whether it was my past essays are just my overall presentation that was not up to par. It pains me to say, but this might be the last chance to be the person I aspire towards because financially there comes a point where you do have to say no. I come from a family of seven which includes three sisters and one brother. My parents have gone through many hardships to help us achieve at our dreams. Even if some weren’t having a good day, they never let that show towards their patients which is what I admired the most. I will be the first to admit that nursing is a stressful job, but it is also the most rewarding. I know as a nurse the sky’s the limit. One of my dreams is to carry out my dad’s dream of opening up a clinic in Nigeria. It’s funny, because I even have a whole business pitch which draws out where my funding, resources, and location of these clinics will be. I guess you can say that I am very driven about this dream. Although, at times I forget that there is a process in achieving my goal of becoming a nurse and I have to pull myself back into reality. One of my downfalls which probably hurt my chances in my previous applications was my science GPA. I want to prove to you all that I will improve. I have three remaining science classes I will be taking this fall. I want you all to see an improvement in me and to know that I take becoming a nurse seriously. Science classes might not be my strong suit, but I am continuing to learn to look past those doubts of not doing well and to achieve at excelling.
