“Did you know 14% of Americans believe in a zombie apocalypse?” My mom instantly rolled her eyes at the T.V. blasting the news in the family room. “Kate, I hope you realize something like that will never happen,” my mom said, concerned I would believe the crazy idea. My friends used the zombie apocalypse idea to scare me when we would sit around the campfire at camp. We would all huddle together, scared at the thought. I never thought much of it, I mean, how could zombies suddenly appear wanting to destroy our world. Little did we know, something as bizarre as that could become a reality.
