In my community, my responsibility is to volunteer and to help others. By chance I was born into a family that has been, for the majority of the time, without financial burdens. I have been able to live in a house, go to bed with a full stomach, and get an education of choice. To the majority of people this sounds like a normal life, but for others it will continue to be a dream. Some students in our community are living in shelters, eating the two meals that are provided by their schools; and that is only if they are able to attend school. By volunteering I am able to give new opportunities to those who need them, whether it is working in a soup kitchen/food drive, helping to build homes for those who have lost their own, or tutoring after school. …show more content…
To be a leader, I need an education, experience in a chosen field, courage, common sense, and discipline. All, and if not most, of these things are taught at or achieved by going to school. Without an education I am not able to learn the skills needed to make a change in the
