Have you ever met a witch that as talented and as clever as Poppy? Well, I have. She carries a wand and loves sweets. Now, let me tell you our story of how we met.

I met her on a hike in the woods of the Mystical Mountains. I found her hovering over a green as fresh grass that has sprouted out of the ground and as yellow as bright as the sun caterpillar enjoying his meal before it wraps itself up to become something beautiful. As I wander off of my family’s trail i call out,” Who is there?” She came out. She looked like a lost puppy who needed guidance. I came down to where she was and asked if she needed any help. She answered very , “ Yes. I am Poppy, and you to help me retrieve something that's lost to one of the most powerful warlocks

When I think about the boy who I was growing up, the young adult I am today, and the man I plan to be in the forthcoming years, one aspect of my life stands out to me far more radiantly than anything else: my culture, my skin, my identity as a Bangladeshi-American. There aren't many clubs or organization for Bangladeshi Americans such as myself. Make no mistake, there are certainly events for Bangladeshis living in the United states, many that I have attended due to various entreaties from my parents. These are event where the only language spoken is one that I barely speak (Bengali), the only music conversed about is that which I don't listen to or understand, and the only events discussed happen in another country that I have spent only a…

The sun began to creep behind neighbouring apartments, spewing golden rays over the water, casting shadows behind bikes that lined the sidewalk. The air was calm and warm. As though it was not there at all.…
