Who am I? That is a very deep question. I think the only way I can answer that truthfully is by saying, I do not know exactly who I am, but I know who I want to become. I want to become a well rounded individual, someone who everyone likes and looks up too. I want to be someone my family can be proud of.…

During my junior year in high school I didnt like the job I was working at. I knew that Tractor Supply was being built and I applied for a job. A little while after that Alisha Jewell called me in for an interview.…
I have not been thinking differently but I am surely endeavoring. I have an arduous time changing things about myself so at this point I am just gradually endeavoring. After reading these two chapters I endeavor to disunite my emotions from my thinking due to the fact that they incline to get me into an abundance of trouble. Prior to making decisions, I stop and notice first if I am allowing my emotions to get in the way. I ascertain no emotions are tied to my decisions just so at the end I get a good outcome.…
At the young age of 14 I took my first job opportunity. I began work at a small corner store called “Snack Shack” on 2nd Avenue in downtown Nashville. It only paid minimum wage but for 14 it was nice. My responsibilities were simple, I had to work the register and make sure everything was neat and orderly. At the time I did not realize but this job would give me true insight on the lives of others and how lucky I was to have grown up not struggling for shelter, food, or money.…
In today's society it's normal for teenagers to have a job that gives out horrible pay as well as horrible hours. But, for me I am fortunate to only deal with the horrible hours. I work at Betty Jane's Homemade Candies, with twenty other girls around my age. I spend most of my time helping costumers trying to find the perfect chocolate for them or for someone else as a gift. Betty Jane's is best known for their gremlins.…
That job was the weirdest and yet most important. You see, I worked at a convenience store, and one day a woman came into the store while I was working. She gave me an invitation to some church in the city. She said that Jesus could help me and change my life. I let it go and ignored it.…
College Essay Growing up in New Haven, Connecticut there weren’t big mansions, people with expensive cars, nor any sign of wealth .It ’s a small city filled with homeless people, violence and poor neighborhoods that made me into the person I am today. A city so small you see the same people everyday.…
It was four years ago when I started working at the Krusty Krab. I’ve never regretted the decision. The pay was never great, but I didn’t take the job for the pay. I took it to make other people happy. I also wanted people to realize how good the Krabby Patty is.…
I took a 2nd job at the commissary as a cashier. This was a seasonal job, but it got us through the holidays. I have to admit that was one of our best Christmas’s our family had. About two years of working at the hospital, I left there for personal reasons and became a cashier at Wal-Mart. I stayed there for about two years.…
The summer before my senior year I began my first job. I was a counselor at a summer camp, called Camp Commotion. It took place at my church and was a 10 week program for kids in kindergarten to sixth grade. Being 17, I was the youngest employee of the 27 staff members, everyone else was in college or older. The camp was made up of a theater, gym, and 6 rooms for the different activities, like cooking, sports, crafts, etc.…

When I open this letter, I will be a Calvin College student sitting on an old couch in my crappy apartment. Surrounded by the infinite amount of college papers and textbooks, you will basically be drowning yourself in your own clutter. However, you will still be happy with it, despite its messy condition, because it’s your apartment. You will live by yourself instead of your family, so instead of waking up to the sound of dad’s screeching coffee maker every day at six in the morning on the dot, you’ll wake up to the sexy voice of Jay Park. The apartment you will live in will be all white, minimalist as possible.…
While in high school I did work at Food Lion as a bagboy, cashier, and helped in other departments it was my first actual legitimate job I had until I graduated. After high school I tried out for a minor league baseball team in Abilene Texas, and then worked at a restaurant called Chicken on the Run in my home town. I was mainly an assistant fry cook, food prep, and dishwasher. I began my day at chicken on the run by separating and washing…
Working alongside the owner/manager to help run and maintain a quality daycare program for 20 + toddlers. Using teamwork in keeping the peace among the children during daily activities, helping to control outburst and tantrums, teaching preschool and early life skills to the children who were preparing to leave the daycare and begin school. This was a great job, good company, excellent owner, wonderful children who had both bad and good days, (Mondays, and indoor free play aka the cage of death). This job was anything but boring. The children kept me very busy and required me to stay organized, maintain my wits, and sense of humor during some very chaotic stressful situations.…
