Personal Narrative-I Am Kierra Strickland

I am Kierra Strickland. I am 22 years old. I was born in Laurel, Ms but raised in Moselle, Ms. I am the eldest of 3 and I am a new mom to a beautiful princess “Kyla McKenzie.” My 22 years of life has been wonderful but I must say that this past year has been a blast. Honestly, I say this because of the birth of my daughter, having her really made me reevaluate my life and change for the better. I have many things that symbolize my life such as being born and raised in Mississippi, Hearts, Zebra’s, the color pink, and last but not least scripture Phil 4:13. A heart for me symbolizes mainly love but also loyalty. I myself love to love, show love, and be loved. Love is not just a word but is showed throughout ones action. For instance, in the bible in 1 Corinthian 13:4-6” love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrong.” My characteristics are very similar to those of a zebra. Not only are they very beautiful but they are strong, friendly, protecting, determined, and willful. I try to be friendly to everyone I come in contact with no matter what type of mood or personal situation I am in. I will do my best to protect the ones I love and people who I may barely know. I also stay determined to be better than I was the day before and focus more on the positive things in life. Not only is my favorite color purple but it best describes me. Ambitious and peaceful is what I am. I really dislike friction so try to keep peace or be a peacemaker for the people who have a problem that I can assist
