I am Kelly Kwong. A fourteen year old young lady that has graduated from eighth grade and moving on to high school. Proceeding on to high school means more responsibility, much more work and growing up. It's crazy how life runs by so fast I mean think about it; I still remember going to preschool everyday and my grandpa would pick me up. I have lived in Malden, Massachusetts my whole life. I am frequently shy, but when I feel comfortable I'll talk a lot! I love getting outside and experiencing new things. As any other teenage girl, I love to go shopping and just hanging out with my friends! One big thing I'm afraid of is absolutely failure. I have really high expectations for myself because I want to do my best no matter what and achieve the goals I put out for myself! …show more content…
A time in my life that has abundantly affected the way I see myself, community and world is when I volunteered at a soup kitchen or a program known as 'Bread of Life'. Helping people made me realize that it's a good intention. Volunteering makes you feel proud of yourself. When I was volunteering I made food, helped out in the kitchen and helped clean. Knowing that people who needed food was getting the nutrients and the people were getting fed made me see that helping out can be a huge impact. Volunteering made a vast impact on the way I see myself because it made me realize that I can do something that can change people's lives. It made me more confident in myself. Volunteering made me feel proud of myself and I was happy at myself which let me realize that I can make a difference. I have to believe in myself to accomplish the ambitions I have in mind for my future and me right
