Personal Narrative-Humorous Wedding Day

The bright sunlight descends for the day and across the horizon, twilight is setting a stunning display of kaleidoscopic colors. The colors ricochet off one another chasing the day away. The reddish gold colored fireball, seeming a lifetime ago, had aroused from the eastern sky and now descending into the western hemisphere, yet he is still not home and I begin walking the city streets all alone. Looking like a Weeble wobble toy I aimlessly wander the streets, reminiscing over that perfect night eight months ago. His whispers of endless love were feather light as evening descended quite eerily parallel to this day and time. Then he was devoted to me. Continuously, serenading me with velvety promises of a lifelong odyssey, overflowing with adventurous experiences of the intimacies of a truly in love couple can be. And I believed. Oh, how I believed and now I am being deceived. As I continue my descent into my frame of remembrance collages, all kinds of shapes and forms of his promises appear. I remember my cream colored dress covered in sparkly lace with pearled buttons down the back. The soft, silky feel of the dress, as my fingers caressed it in nervousness, but also with a joyful anticipation of my life to be. My fiery chestnut hair was plied high sprinkled with baby’s breath. As I walked through the door I can still smell the perfumed fragrances of the flower arrangements. He stood there dapper in his wedding attire. Tall, lean and those piecing sapphire blue eyes were undeniably focused on me, as were my emerald green eyes focused on him.
