Ive just came through the door, tired from a long day of classes and work. As i'm entering i see you on the couch playing dark souls, and watching you curse at the screen makes me forget about any stress I had as i have to hold back my laughter. You didn't hear me come in, you were too focused fighting a boss.

I notice that you didnt see me come in so I decide to try and scare you. I come up behind you and grab you while simultaneously yelling "SUP FUCKER". You are extremely startled you threw your hand back and hit me in the face, I stumble back and and catch my balance on the wall. You immedietaly get up start apologizing vehemently, and I start crying... in laughter. I pull myself together and while grabbing your crotch, I say in a playful tone, "Save it for the

As my head is laying on your chest, i can hear you ask, "So what do you want to do, just watch some netflix or...", I riposte, "Im not quite in the mood for that, how about we just listen to some music and unwind"? I turn on a spotify playlist I made for evenings like this, its filled with a compromise of genres we both enjoy. You agree and say, "That sounds pleasant, you wouldn't believe the day i had..." you say as you start telling me about your day, as you play with my hair, we go back and forth for for a little while before the yawns start catching onto us.

With a bright moon in the window, and the warm breeze, we both begin to nod off. Before I forget I get up and turn the lights off, and close the window I can hear a faint snore. I turn around and notice you've already fallen asleep. I stand there for a moment just admiring how adorable you are while asleep. I snap out of my daze and join you back in bed, as I bring myself closer to you, while still asleep you naturally put your arm around my and i nuzzle my head into your arm to get myself comfortable, my final thoughts before finally dozing off, "I think this is

While working for a startup, micro-sized accounting firm founded by my wife’s uncle, I found myself with the responsibility of leading the organization’s payroll service. In such a setting, this duty encompassed virtually all facets of business functions including sales, developing uniform system processes, managing information technology, nurturing client relations, and completing the payroll operations just to name a few. The company at that point grew from a single client having two employees to around 50 clients and a total of approximately 6,000 employees within a single quarter. Such growth paired with the lack of payroll-experienced employees within the organization led to a high stress environment fueled by crunched deadlines and on-the-job learning that usually led to serious error. Our team would find that in order to stay ahead of the deadlines from week to week, we would often need to work 50+ hours each week.…

I usually find satisfaction when an example of comedic wit comes to light. The art of sarcasm, and the structure of satire have never ceased to amuse me. Although, when this specific brand of “humor” comes about, I sit back not to marvel at the thought or eloquence of the speech, but to restrain my own deeply rooted antipathy. When these graceless, crude masses shove their way into conversation, I watch in disdain as they merely beg for the attention of their audience. My muscles tense and cringe while my fingers curl reflecting my desire to retreat from an area so comically contaminated.…

I wake up the next day to Lefty stroking my hair. As I slowly open my eyes, I gaze up giving off a satisfied smile. “Good morning, Beautiful,” Lefty said as he leans in to kiss me. The night is finally here; I remember being so enthusiastic I could barely sit. I remember shifting around as if I was a crime waiting to hear my sentence. I remember being so excited to hang out with you outside of school that my mom just wanted me to leave the house—that’s how annoying I was about what outfit I would wear and how I looked. I remember wearing my favorite pair of jeans with a normal white tee. “I could feel the weight of my necklace pressed up against my skin, not quite as heavy as the converse on my feet as I walked to open the door.”…

I had a similar situation where I felt the workload was too much, causing a lot of stress. I was the only one working the front desk, as well as helping the doctor with patient workouts. The doctor was aware the workload was a lot for one worker, and was in the process of hiring another employee. Even though the job caused a lot of stress, I believe it taught me to multi-task, be efficient, and work under pressure. The best way I deal with stress, is to see it as a challenge.…

I thought this was quite personal to me and thought I’d share my experience, so I 'm going to dive right in with the story. Hijab. Many people can 't even pronounce it and call it Jihabi, Johab, Hihab and even a turban just because they think it looks like one. I don 't think it’s a hard word to pronounce at all, so when they say it a different way I feel offended as if they 're making fun of it.…

My experience of stress can be best described as a rollercoaster, steadily climbing and once at the top it can plunge down and back up and to the left and to the right, almost as if the stress is controlling the ride. Stress has changed over the years as well. My early childhood life didn’t include the worry of life, but the concern of self. I grew up as a very shy individual and was constantly scared to talk or speak in many situations. I am not sure how or why I was a shy individual, but it was a big stressor during my early development.…
