Personal Narrative-Humorous Bear

I woke up drenched in sweat sitting on an unfamiliar forest floor. Rubbing my head trying to remember how I got there and why I was there. To no avail I took to my feet and dusted of my now ruined clothes. Then suddenly, I heard a monstrous roar off in the distance. Looking around bewildered, I sprinted in the direction opposite the devastating roar. Hearing heavy thumping through the woods, I turned my head around. Scared now more than ever I ran faster fueled by the fear of impending death. The beast was a humongous bear the size of a white rhino. Crashing through the brush, gaining speed rapidly, he let out another ear shattering roar. Looking back once more I tripped on a thick tree root emerging through the ground. Cradling my now broken …show more content…
I rapidly turn my head to the side and tightly shut my eyes. When the noise I heard was not the flesh being ripped off of my bones, I was immensely relieved. But the sound I did hear was a little unsettling the noise was a deafening shriek that, no doubt, came from the exceedingly frightening bear. I tentatively opened my sore eyes to gaze upon the now defeated bear. It had a large spear protruding from it’s chest. Then I saw a figure off behind the bear. It hesitated, but it finally walked forward. To my surprise it was a tall strapping man with dark brown hair and deep tanned skin. He strode up to me and offered me a hand. Accepting, I asked him his name. “Akamu, it means red earth.” “Cameron, a pleasure to make your acquaintance,” I said. Continuing, I asked, “Where am I?” Accepting the question, he gladly answered, “We are in Molokai, which is sadly one of the least visited of the Hawaii island chain,” Akamu stated, obviously up set. Nodding my head in acknowledgment, I asked, “Where is the closest village?” “Follow me I will take you to my village,” Akamu said, with a little more enthusiasm. Finally Emerging out of the forest, I saw a beautiful valley with various assortments of …show more content…
It was up to me, this time, to choose an appropriate place for travel. Like always I chose a totally unacceptable place that no one would have ever chosen. My choice was Antartica. Starring the the dumbfounded expressions of my best friends I tried my hardest not to laugh. Then my closest friend asked, “You can’t be serious. How are we even supposed to get gear for that kind of weather?” “We always find a way to gear for all your adventures,” I countered. “Yeah because I have never suggested Antarctica,” he said raising his voice. Trying to avoid a fight, I said calming, “I will find a way to get the gear.” “Okay then,” my friend said, raising his hands defensively. Somehow I was able to get the gear for us to be able to travel while in Antarctica. I also called a travel agency and got a pilot to fly us to Antarctica. We traveled across the ocean when devastation struck. Sirens blared, my friends panicking, the captain yelling warnings from the loudspeaker. I shot out of my seat and rushed to the area with the parachutes. I was tossing the parachutes to all the my friends and the captain, when the plane lurched to one side and I slid and hit the door busting it wide open. Quickly grabbing the handle and latching myself to it. My friends dashed over to the door and pulled me back in. Catching my breath I braced myself against my chair. The captain spoke up and told us that if we did not jump now we would
